Black Shadow had made an attempt to call Cackle back as soon as he realized the other had been trying to ping him. He'd realized late of course, it was not uncommon for him to recharge through someone trying to get in touch with him. The phase sixer just hoped he hadn't missed something important.
The artificial super warrior never responded, each call Black Shadow sent was only met with static. A disconnected or destroyed comm-link. Pings becoming more frantic he realized this wasn't going to be the way he got in touch with Cackle.
There had been a sort of connection he'd had with the strange artificial Cybertronian. The connection had more recently been lessened and overshadowed by the one he'd created between himself and Blue Bacchus but it was still there enough that if he so chose maybe...maybe he could make it to Cackle's domain...if he so had the will.
Walking...walking...he could gradually feel himself entering the canvas, optics offline at first, worried at what he might see when he did enter. Optics snapped online at the scent of chemicals in the air mingling with the overpowering stench of energon. Black Shadow followed the scent to its source and...
He stared. It was a gruesome sight, Cackle's headless form, energon pooling around him, the remains of whatever chemicals he had been experimenting with littered around the artificial mecha.
Black Shadow's spark felt like someone had stabbed right through him and he sunk to his knees next to the body. The phase sixer had done and seen many gruesome things in his lifetime but it was always different when it was someone he knew...someone he cared about.
He'd killed himself, had he? Overdosed and pulled his head off? He'd seen such a suicide before. Cackle had been trying to call him and he hadn't answered in time and...and...he killed himself...Black Shadow had been too slow to answer and...this was his fault.
"Cackle..."
Something didn't add up.
His grief took a backseat to logic as he looked at the little neck cabling that was still left behind. It appeared to be chopped rather than pulled...and only now did he notice the head itself was nowhere to be found. Black Shadow's optics only then caught a trail of energon.
This was murder, someone killed Cackle while he was down. How cowardly. Anger rose in his spark but he pushed it down enough so as not to activate any protocols...not until he needed to. Getting up he dusted his knees off and began to follow the energon trail. The trail lead....lead...
...to nothing. Ending abruptly.
There was only one other he could think of that might do this and have access to the canvas and be able to disappear from it like that. His optics alighted, brighter than before and he quivered with anger.
He had driven Tessa to the store earlier to pick up groceries for her and her father. Now, the rest of the afternoon was his until something else arose. Deciding that the time was right for a drive, Crosshairs peeled out of the Yeager's residency and headed back down the road towards the larger bypass. Once on it and pushing a nice sixty– the flat farm lands quickly passing by in a golden and green blur– the paratrooper's communication line pinged. Opening it, without checking just who it was, his accented tone sound through.
::'Ello ya've reached Crosshairs. Hurry the hell up an' tell me what ya want before I hang up on ya for ruinin' my me time.::
Normally while in her spider form she tends to creep, silently stalking her targets but can leap and jump easily in this form as well to quickly dodge and escape from attacks. This is the form she tends to favor in most battles since she can easily stab with her thin, spindle legs and climb vertical surfaces to escape.
Normal legs
She tends to walk with poise since she only takes this form when she knows she can let her guard down somewhat. I say somewhat because she is almost always alert to enemies and what is around her, she is just appears more lax so others don’t get too on edge in her presence.
