the appeal of gun control is (to me) the absolute comedy of terry being immune to larks bullshit in a way that pulls them together- it’s basically the other half of the nark mischaracterization to me grant/lark is the toxic yaoi making each other miserable pairing but terry/lark is the i can fix him i can make him worse pairing if that makes any sense. also hiiii waves at you cutely
Oooh yes I do see the appeal in that. And definitely I feel like the “I can fix him/make him worse” is people try to write nark if that’s what you meant. I know we’ve already done a whole rant on twitter but there’s seems to be a running theme of Nicky trying to ‘save’ Lark in some way idk I’d still have to go back and reread all the nark fics to be able to comment on my issue with it properly but I don’t want to do that. But I can see that trope working better with Terry!
