"I love you son, but I will NEVER forgive you for this" is the saddest line in Dungeons and Daddies. HENRY of all characters saying he can't forgive Sparrow, his love wolf. Henry can forgive his father for his abuse and neglect. Henry can forgive himself for the mistakes he's made. Henry can forgive Lark for ENDING the world, but not Sparrow for trying to save it, because of how he tries to do it. And of course, Henry has a point, what Sparrow is doing is tantamount to damning an entire world to death, a world full of friends they've made. And just like Odyssey doesn't magically end with Lark forgiving Henry, Quest doesn't magically end with Henry forgiving Sparrow. Sparrow's act of love hurt Henry way more than Lark's act of fear. And that's devastating.

It’s just Lark and Sparrow restarting the cycle Henry spent so much time trying to break. Henry was angry, but he was never cruel, and he tried to raise his kids to do the same but he didn’t

Because Lark and Sparrow are so cruel. Cruel to Hero. Cruel to Normal. Cruel to each other (because sleeping with your brothers wife is undoubtedly an act of cruelty). They are Henry broken in two, Sparrow with his love and Lark with his anger, but that break has caused the cruelty to leak out.

And there’s no forgiving that.
