We got to see some of the attractions along #Historic #Route66 In #Amarillo #Texas, there’s the #cadillacgraveyard which are a bunch of old Caddies sunk into the ground hood-first. Over the years, thousands of people have spray painted the cars which has led to extremely thick layers of paint - very cool! We also went through the #ghosttown of #GlenRio. In its heyday, it was a popular stop for folks traveling #mainstreetusa Last, we saw a row of trucks carrying new blades for some of the gargantuan #windmill generators. As far as things we saw but weren’t able to get pics: 1. a school bus that looked like it ran into a building but just had the front end cut off and was attached to the building as living space - gave new meaning to “#skoolie” 😂 2. A Volkswagen Bug pickup truck - the front half looked normal. The back half was a custom pickup truck bed 3. A huge house (prob 15k sq ft) with an oil #derrick in the front yard 4. Random fire hydrant in the middle of a nowhere! 5. Cotton fields - we had no idea #Oklahoma, #Texas, and #NewMexico grew the stuff! 6. Trees all bent and facing north - apparently a LOT of strong winds coming from the south (at Cadillac Graveyard) https://www.instagram.com/p/BsYNJWCn1L-/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=jhmoui9qx31z
