Bahamut didn't care much for the people who weren't of the Lucis Caelum line and even those he only entertained because of their importance to the fate of Eos. Ignis Scientia had looked after the Chosen King ever since they were both children and to this day he was still dedicated. The boy was smart and diligent – everything one could want from an advisor.

He was clever enough to be wary of him, but curious enough to listen. "It has recently come to my attention that very few people know that the Prince has a duty beyond being the next in line to rule Lucis," Noctis had been told by the little Oracle, but Bahamut had to wonder if they boy even remembered that. It wouldn't surprise him, since Regis rarely mentioned it.

"There are few people closer to him than you. Why, one might even believe that you share a stronger bond with the Prince than he does with his own father."

"If you are on the case, Ignis, then I do not doubt it," Regis replied, though he recognised that look on the boy's face. His son had done something again, it seemed, which didn't come as a surprise. Regis would call it his rebel face, but for Noctis to even ignore Ignis... well, it was certainly concerning.

"What did my son do this time?" he questioned, honestly preferring to just know so he knew what to prepare for. Ignis must forget that he had known him since he was a child – he may wish to hide things from him, but some things he had gotten good at recognising in his old age.

He grabs Ignis and pulls him to his chest, only to bury his nose into Ignis’ hair and smile. Ignis is a good cuddle size, after all!

                        @caecus-scientia made a choice, and had his punishment taken.

It had taken a bit of doing, but Noctis had gotten his wish, sitting with his feet hanging over the edge of the bed and marveling on how he couldn’t tell how far he had until they hit. It was odd to him, how he had done it the other day and had known just how far it was that there was, less than an inch or so, but when he stretched it felt like a mile. Everything that he thought was far away was way closer than he thought, the bedside table that had his phone had been the first thing he’d reached for before he remembered. Now it was half way across the room cause he’d accidentally pushed it all the way across the table to clatter onto the floor. Things that he thought were close were suddenly so far away that he had to scoot until his fingers brushed them. 

Noctis was learning quickly, but he was so involved with his thoughts that he didn’t hear the faint sound of Ignis’s shoes hitting the floor outside the doorway. Or rather, he should have noticed it because they were absolutely not faint. Probably rushing down the hall to tell Noctis the news, that some of them had taken pity on him and given him back his sight. So when he did enter the room, it was the least he could do was to look over his shoulder and smile. “Hear something good? You seem in a better mood today.”

Noctis looks over to see Ignis. He was feeling a bit lonely since the other kids didn’t want to be his friends. “We can play ball?” he asked looking back out to where the others were playing

All Business || Winston & Ignis

Winston sat idly back on his chair, waiting for the secretary’s cue about the man coming in to talk to his family about... business matters. His mother would have come by personally, but instead left her son -- who was just barely learning the ropes of the company -- to talk to the man who was the fucking COO of one of their shareholders. Was that a smart move? Probably not, but at least the actual second-in-command of their company was there to guide him.

Would that help? Again, probably not. He had never been the business-y type anyway.

He never did quite such formal meetings like this, fingering the collar of his dress shirt as he glanced at the clock. They weren’t late, so to speak, but they were definitely getting close to it. He eyed the door, clearly bored with a dazed look on his face. Were they really going to wait until the last minute to show up, all to be present on the dot?

Ridiculous.
