I feel like I’ve had to present this disclaimer every time I’ve drawn Caelie in the last *checks notes* ...nine years?? Good fuck.

But, uh, Mass Effect was my first real big foray into fandom, and I still have a few friends from the BioWare forum days! But ME3 wrecked my shit hard and I never really wanted to touch Caelie’s story again, because that shit was painful.

Now the Legendary remake’s officially gone gold, it’ll be out next month, and... I dunno! I want to enjoy Mass Effect again, but I feel like I’m going to have to come up with a new Shepard for it that I’m willing to let go - or, at least, arrange my own personal headcanons in a way that I can actually plan for instead of being blindsided. The problem is that Caelie was my Shepard - the same way Jeanne is my Warden, Pina is my Inquisitor. Sure, I’ve put other characters in the role for funsies, but it doesn’t feel the same, y’know?

Anyway. I’ll have to brainstorm. But happy birthday, Caelie Shep.

Caelie; do you have any SpIns/care to infodump?

My big SpIn is Doctor Who! I actually have a blog dedicated to just posting Doctor Who content!

I mostly post new Who stuff, since I'm mainly into Doctors 9-13. (Though I'll always have a soft spot for 6, he was a cool dude.)

My favorite Doctor is the tenth! Also, if any of the Doctors were to be autistic, I'm certain it'd be him. He's always doing little stimmy things and he's just so full of Autism Energy. Also he's autistic because I love him and I said so.

Every time I see David Tennant (tenth Doctor) and Billie Piper (Rose Tyler) together, I have a bi crisis. They're both just. Gorgeous. God I love those two.

And! My favorite episode is "Last Christmas" because it's the one with the dream crabs! Dream crabs are probably my favorite alien species in the whole show; I just think they're super neat!!!

So, I don’t post much, but I always promised myself that I’d post my art progress, because progress posts have historically kept me going when I wanted to give up. The Aug 2014 art still makes me shudder a bit, but that’s life. As of this moment, I’m very happy with the new art. In 3.5 years, I might hate it too, but I’ll take this moment of contentment. 

Anyway, I hope this inspires someone somewhere to keep going with their art. Feel free to reblog with your own progress shots as well. There’s no such thing as too much inspiration for aspiring artists.

Oooh fun questions! The body has a terrible pollen allergy, makes us sneeze all the time haha. I love flowers, they’re so pretty! I think my favorite is probably bluebells! We did have a dog, but our brother has him now. He’s very old and small! I’d love to have just a full array of pets; dogs, cats, snakes, foxes, something for everyone! I absolutely would sleep on a cloud, I bet it’d be really comfortable! I don’t eat candy often, but I really like Reese’s! PINEAPPLE ON PIZZA IS THE MOST CURSED THING I FEEL VERY STRONGLY ABOUT THIS OKAY!

Guilty pleasure is reality TV (I know it’s not as real as they want you to think, but damn it’s good 😬). Pixar, solely for the little opening screen of the lamp bouncing on the I in their logo. No hyperfixations, but I have special interests in Doctor Who and web design! The happiest feeling is for someone to say they love me (or at least like being around me heh). Animated all the way, I think a lot of things just lend themselves really well to animation! Anime because manga is hard for me to read since it’s all in black and white. 😬 Books all the way, the movies always seem to leave important things out!

people who’ve known me since the livejournal and bioware forums days (wassup nsas) probably remember i was incredibly prolific with her exploits, particularly once me2 came out; i loved her dearly

me3, unfortunately, broke both her and me - i’d had a lot of my own stuff going on at the time, and not having any kind of happy ending for the shep who’d been through so much was a bitter pill to swallow. i replayed me2 once or twice and tried out the me:a beta, but i more or less haven’t touched the series since
