THINGS THAT I HAVE LEARNED AS A MED STUDENT: HELLO 2ND SEMESTER!
First Semester, done!
Hello, Second Semester!
It has been a long semester for me, and I am so glad that I surpassed all of my struggles within the first semester. It has been a hard time for me. As a med student, I have learned a lot of things. And allow me to share all of these points to you:
1. New School, New Friends?
As a student, it is normal for us to go to a new university, engage with new people that surround us and socialize as much as you can. I am a jolly and happy-go-lucky person so it is easy for me to make new friends. But once you go into college, you may have new environment, but it isn’t that easy to make new friends. One factor that I am so scared of is having some trust issues with someone that I don’t fully know. I’ve been studying from my previous school since when i was kindergarten so it was a huge adjustment for me. Sometimes, it is good to choose the perfect one for you. The one who could motivate and influence you in such a good manner. In that way, you could easily adjust and cope up with your studies!
2. Adjustment Period
As a student who came from a previous school and studied for fourteen years, it gave me a hard time to adjust on my new uni. First, the grading system is too far from my previous school and Secondly, I am not familiar with the topic that I take because they’re new for me. But day by day, I slowly realize how far it will go for me. Soon, you’ll be able to adjust!
3. Time Management
As a med student, one of the important matter in your whole life is on how you manage your time very well. Most of the time, I sit in front of my desk and study all through the night. For me, if you didn’t put such effort on it, you won’t succeed on it. So, managing your time by using planners (daily, weekly, monthly) will be a great help in terms of managing your time with studies or other related matters in your life!
4. Productivity is a must!
Two years ago, joining the studyblr community made a big impact to me and it pursued me to become productive. It boosted my self confidence as well and with the help of this community, it made me realize that every second of time matters. You can be lazy at time, but being productive everyday is a must!
5. Boosting one’s Creativity
Do only architects draw? No! ALso, med student draw in related to medical topics such as anatomy. Being creative sometime can boost your motivation to study and to learn new things. I do draw a lot because by drawing something, you can be able to imagine how things works and how things formulate or acts. It can widen your imaginations in terms of the topics that is being discussed. I used to draw brain, heart, cells and the like and be able to imagine how these system works and move. It is a big help to regain the knowledge that is being drawn on a piece of paper. Try it, and you’ll know it!
These are few of my point and thank you so much for spending your time reading on it. I’m sorry for not being that active due to school purposes as well. How are y’all? I’ll appreciate if you would send me some messages! Thankyou!
