Miryenda + dinner = Miryendinner
Cafe # 18 for 2017: Prizone Cafe, Malate Manila
Anime (particularly One Piece) lovers, this is the place for you! Prizone is a cafe which plays anime shows on their TV while the customers are eating. I was surprised when I had my miryendinner here. The coffee was really strong and not what I expected from a non-third-wave cafe. The food was also good. Nothing extraordinary but with fine taste. I forgot the names of the food I ordered but all you can see in the photo were good. It’s not pricey and the staff were nice. It’s not perfect I must say but it’s not bad either! A safe place to dine if you’re within the area.

Looking for a wifi
Cafe # 16 for 2017: Tenant Manila, San Antonio Makati
My friends and I tried this place the same day we dined at Satinka Naturals. Yep, I know. What’s the point of eating healthy food if you’re gonna have desserts after LOL. Anyway, the main reason why we went here because we were looking for a place with WiFi. It rained while we were having a lunch at Satinka and we just booked a grab to go to the area. We don’t have our internet datas that day so we looked for a place with wifi. Being a walking zomato I am, I know that Tenant Manila is just near Satinka so we went there.
It would have been a better experience if the staff were friendly. LOL. I’m really particular with that, IDK why. Is it hard to “fake-smile”? They were not rude, to be fair. The coffee was good and strong. Their Kouign-Amann was perfect, soft and not-too-sweet. Just right for my coffee. The cafe can be a good study or coffice area. It was really quiet and chill.

In between breaks
Cafe # 15 for 2017: Satinka Naturals, San Antonio Makati
Want to eat delicious-yet-affordable food without feeling guilty? Then this is the right place! They serve food made from healthy/organic ingredients. Yep, I’m eating healthy for a change. Lol. Anyway, I tried their organic coffee from Kalinga. It was sooo good. I forgot the name of the pasta I ordered but mine’s the one with red sauce. It was tasty despite being made from healthy ingredients. My friends told me their food were also delicious. The place is just a bit small but I love the rustic interiors. I feel like I’m not in Makati! Haha! A healthy place to eat without sacrificing the taste. If it’s not just far from the city, I would ALWAYS eat here (I don’t have a car to go here from time to time)

Cafe # 14 for 2017: Paws & Play Cafe, Malate Manila
It’s a bit odd for me to enjoy cafes like this. Don’t get me wrong, I love dogs! They are one of the great blessings here on earth. However, I find it a bit awkward to eat while playing with them. Not to mention that most of them looked tired! I went here because my friends wanted to.
To be honest, I am 50/50 with cafes like this. Pros: It’s a good cafe for those who love dogs but were not allowed to have dogs in the house. Just like me! I really find them cute but my mom won’t allow me to have one because she told me dogs are high-maintained, which is kinda true. Cons: As mentioned, these babies looked tired. Huhu. But thank you for trying your best to “entertain” us!
As for the food, it was...meh huhuhu. The drinks were too sweet. The fries was okay, something that can be done at home. The staff were nice, though. There’s no “entrance” fee as long as you order food.

Woah there, am I really back to blogging? I realized I kinda need to go back so that I feel like my life’s in order or in its place. Anyway, the last cafe post I posted was my 12th cafe for 2017. Though my reviews of the place would be less, I will try to tell something about it as concise as possible.
Cafe # 13 for 2017: Galli Village Cafe, San Antonio Makati
A very simple place situating at a corner of San Antonio near Sacred Heart Church. My aunt and I decided to dine here after running errands. It was dinner. We shared this place of spaghetti which was surprisingly good. However, some of their food in the menu were not available. I wanted to try their coffee but the staff told me they only have juice. The juice was also okay. Price, taste and serving were proportionate. Overall, I could say that this cafe is not really memorable for me. Still a good place for those who want a quiet yet affordable meal.

Cassalu Coffee and Kitchen in Las Pinas Satisfied my Cravings!!!
I know very well the drill when I see a new cafe. It’s like me the predator attacking its prey! So I’ve invaded a new cafe with a unique name called Cassalu. This catchy cafe is placed in a middle of a commercial space in Times Las Pinas. At first, I thought it’s called Cassalu as a slang term for “kasalo” which means companion in Tagalog. But it’s not! Cassalu was named after the owner’s kids. How cute was that!!!
Every food offering and every corner of this cafe satisfied my senses! All the food presentation are neat and so does the displays and interiors.
How unique this background concept could be! I like the choices of colored cups with a white background!
This one I must say is an instagrammable place!
Food I’ve tried during my first visit.
Outside look of Cassalu. It also has this cute swing seats!!!
Another corner which I surely didn’t miss!!!
Salisbury Steak which is one of Cassalu’s pride. It has a fine gravy that blends well with the savory and soft patty. The rice is well-cooked too.
Cheesecake didn’t melt in my mouth but I like it! I like how I chew the goodness of it. The more I chew, the more it tastes good! I like that it wasn’t too sweet.
The pasta was so tasty and I’m surprised that it wasn’t that greasy nor too dry.
This dish is surely one for the books! This one is really unique and healthy. I can’t wait to go back and know the name of this dish!!! I have never imagined these ingredients could taste well altogether!!
Dark Mocha frappe is too good to sip! It’s creamy and pure! I couldn’t taste any water but pure mocha and whip cream!
Their latte art is not so extraordinary but sure the coffee is better than good. It awakened me and even made me more hyper!
It was one great dining experience at Cassalu. The baristas together eagerly and pleasantly served us with so much passion. I would like to commend the barista from the right who actually gave time to educate me a little bit about coffee. They know very well their craft and it is something that I’m looking for when I’m about to attack a new cafe. 5 stars for this coffee shop and restaurant. I will be back for sure!!!
