Before Coco got so famous. Lol.
Cafe # 19 for 2017: Kissako Uji Matcha, SM Mall of Asia
A break from my typical coffee cafe post. Here’s a matcha cafe perfect for matcha lovers. I, as usual, forgot the name of the drink I ordered but it was good. The matcha flavor was strong, not like your usual matcha frappes from the other restaurants which taste like 3/4 milk and 1/4 matcha powder. The kick of the matcha was really there. Would love to try their other matcha food (like matcha noodles...yep) and drinks!

Miryenda + dinner = Miryendinner
Cafe # 18 for 2017: Prizone Cafe, Malate Manila
Anime (particularly One Piece) lovers, this is the place for you! Prizone is a cafe which plays anime shows on their TV while the customers are eating. I was surprised when I had my miryendinner here. The coffee was really strong and not what I expected from a non-third-wave cafe. The food was also good. Nothing extraordinary but with fine taste. I forgot the names of the food I ordered but all you can see in the photo were good. It’s not pricey and the staff were nice. It’s not perfect I must say but it’s not bad either! A safe place to dine if you’re within the area.

I enjoy pretty comfort rooms.
2017 general cleaning finds
Good memories and good deeds. While I was cleaning my room after graduation, I found this scriptures given to our class by our grade 5 adviser who was so nice. He is one of the memorable teachers I had because he was passionate with what he does. He really wanted to discipline us. As far as I remember, the time I was cleaning my room was also the time there was a typhoon that affected some parts of our country. My brother’s school asked for donations and I decided to donate few of my clothes. Some of my clothes were also given to the family of our house carpenter, Kuya Dentor.
It’s really heartwarming that I was able to revamp my room while helping others.Looking forward to the days I get to show my compassion to others!
Hidden streets of Makati / 2017
Cafe # 17 for 2017: Treehouse Cafe, Taft Ave, Malate Manila
A very small cafe situated below a condominium in Taft avenue. Another not-so-memorable place for me. My friends and I just decided to try here for dessert and of course, instead of ordering milkshake, I had their coffee. I can barely remember what I ordered but I know it was good but kinda pricey for the quality.

Looking for a wifi
Cafe # 16 for 2017: Tenant Manila, San Antonio Makati
My friends and I tried this place the same day we dined at Satinka Naturals. Yep, I know. What’s the point of eating healthy food if you’re gonna have desserts after LOL. Anyway, the main reason why we went here because we were looking for a place with WiFi. It rained while we were having a lunch at Satinka and we just booked a grab to go to the area. We don’t have our internet datas that day so we looked for a place with wifi. Being a walking zomato I am, I know that Tenant Manila is just near Satinka so we went there.
It would have been a better experience if the staff were friendly. LOL. I’m really particular with that, IDK why. Is it hard to “fake-smile”? They were not rude, to be fair. The coffee was good and strong. Their Kouign-Amann was perfect, soft and not-too-sweet. Just right for my coffee. The cafe can be a good study or coffice area. It was really quiet and chill.

Korean kind of night
When our class is whole day, it’s not inevitable to crave for food to keep your mind going. My friend and I decided to go Korean for dinner. Tteokbokki for dinner and bingsu for desserts. I LOVE THIS NIGHT.
In between breaks
Cafe # 15 for 2017: Satinka Naturals, San Antonio Makati
Want to eat delicious-yet-affordable food without feeling guilty? Then this is the right place! They serve food made from healthy/organic ingredients. Yep, I’m eating healthy for a change. Lol. Anyway, I tried their organic coffee from Kalinga. It was sooo good. I forgot the name of the pasta I ordered but mine’s the one with red sauce. It was tasty despite being made from healthy ingredients. My friends told me their food were also delicious. The place is just a bit small but I love the rustic interiors. I feel like I’m not in Makati! Haha! A healthy place to eat without sacrificing the taste. If it’s not just far from the city, I would ALWAYS eat here (I don’t have a car to go here from time to time)

I rarely do this and I’m sure this is the first playlist I’m gonna share in my blog. For some reason, I wanna name my playlist “Woman” -- don’t wanna explain why but here it is:
Girl You’ll Be A Woman Soon - Urge Overkill
Only You - The Flying Pickets
California Dreamin’ - The Mamas & The Papas
Dreams - The Cranberries
Rollin’ With My Homies - Coolio
Sweetest Girl - Wyclef Jean ft. Akon, Lil Wayne, Niia
In Your Eyes - Peter Gabriel
Rock With You - Michael Jackson
Don’t You (Forget About Me) - Simple Minds
Wanted to add more but I also wanna save the other songs for my next playlists (that’s if i’m in the mood to make one again hehe). For the mean time, enjoy the nine wonderful songs I shared with you!
The photo attached is an interior of a quaint coffee shop here in Manila. I used the photo because coffee shop is where I reflect/recollect my thoughts as I listen to songs like these. (#mema but I hope you get the point)
Cafe # 14 for 2017: Paws & Play Cafe, Malate Manila
It’s a bit odd for me to enjoy cafes like this. Don’t get me wrong, I love dogs! They are one of the great blessings here on earth. However, I find it a bit awkward to eat while playing with them. Not to mention that most of them looked tired! I went here because my friends wanted to.
To be honest, I am 50/50 with cafes like this. Pros: It’s a good cafe for those who love dogs but were not allowed to have dogs in the house. Just like me! I really find them cute but my mom won’t allow me to have one because she told me dogs are high-maintained, which is kinda true. Cons: As mentioned, these babies looked tired. Huhu. But thank you for trying your best to “entertain” us!
As for the food, it was...meh huhuhu. The drinks were too sweet. The fries was okay, something that can be done at home. The staff were nice, though. There’s no “entrance” fee as long as you order food.

Aside from the coffee shops, I will also start my “Workplace of the Day” series. I am inspired by my former professor in college who also posts her workplace of the day. It feels a bit therapeutic because it tricks my mind that I am a productive b*tch. LOL. As for my first workplace of the day post, here’s my view during my thesis in college. My thesismates tried to squeeze our brains to accomplish something for our topic. We stayed for hours at a coffee shop in Makati called Local Edition. It was actually one of my fave cafes! Perfect place to do your requirements or to just read a book.
Woah there, am I really back to blogging? I realized I kinda need to go back so that I feel like my life’s in order or in its place. Anyway, the last cafe post I posted was my 12th cafe for 2017. Though my reviews of the place would be less, I will try to tell something about it as concise as possible.
Cafe # 13 for 2017: Galli Village Cafe, San Antonio Makati
A very simple place situating at a corner of San Antonio near Sacred Heart Church. My aunt and I decided to dine here after running errands. It was dinner. We shared this place of spaghetti which was surprisingly good. However, some of their food in the menu were not available. I wanted to try their coffee but the staff told me they only have juice. The juice was also okay. Price, taste and serving were proportionate. Overall, I could say that this cafe is not really memorable for me. Still a good place for those who want a quiet yet affordable meal.
