Twins and Ice

He’d ended up in the middle of a desert. The Warrior of Ice was stuck in a desert. The sheer heat made him want to melt. He was just conversing with Kumamon when he heard a voice and turned.

Blinking, he grinned and waved.

“Ai-san!” he chirped. “Sorry, I didn’t expect to see you here. Who’s your friend? One of our classmates? Oh, and nice to meet you, Beelzemon. Are you Ai-san’s partner Digimon?”

"I didn't expect to be here," she said mildly. "It just sort of...happened. And these two--"

"I'm her twin," he interjected, "and this is our joint partner, Beelzemon."

"That's Mako," she added, eyes downcast. "And yes, Beelzemon is our partner." She would have shown him the Digivice they shared, too, but it was currently in Mako's possession.

"What have I said about interrupting your sister?" Beelzemon was giving Mako a sharp look, stepping back a pace once it was clear Tomoki was no threat.

"Where's your partner?" Ai added, glancing back up at Tomoki.

"Ai-san, tanjoubi omedetou!" Tomoki had come near the end of her homeroom with two other girls from his class. He was holding a boxed lunch, with the two girls holding a small cake with an envelope and balloons respectively. Blinking, he bowed to the homeroom teacher. "Gomenasai for the intrusion, sensei, but class 3-4 wants to wish Ai-san a very happy birthday."

"I…" Ai’s face was blushing bright as she took in the gifts Tomoki had brought with him. "I-I’m…th-thank you, so so much, Tomoki-senpai. Really. It means a lot to me." She gave him a nervous smile as she took the envelope and balloons in hand, cake now rested on her desk.

cagedinice replied to your post:"You're cute..." Tomoki had knelt down, ruffling... "Shh, shh," Tomoki laughed. He was only a teenager, after all. "Do you have a collar on, little guy?" Tomoki balanced Ruby in one arm while he took his school jacket off and wrapped her in it. "C’mon, let me see."

She tilted her head down so the collar was buried in her fur. She looked up at him but as the jacket wrapped around her she finally moved her head so her tags showed.

"You're cute..." Tomoki had knelt down, ruffling the fur of the eevee he'd seen while walking home from school. "You're gonna catch a chill, you know." He smiled and picked the eevee up, rubbing her belly.

Ruby had gotten out of the apartment when Taichi and Takeru were out. So now she had been wandering around the streets until some male came up to her and started talking. She moved a bit as she was picked up, growling at him but relaxing when her belly was rubbed. Her tail swayed and she happily licked at the boy's cheek. "Vee!"

"I definitely failed that test."

"Oh, I'm sure it isn't as bad as you think it is! You've been doing really well in our sessions!"

Tucks a strand of hair behind Ai's ear.

"I--uh--wh-what are you doing?" she stammered, a blush rising to her cheeks. "I mean--I--uh--"

cagedinice replied to your post:"How are you today, Ai-san?" Though he didn't know her personally, Tomoki had helped the underclassman out a few times, even having her in a class.

Tomoki blinked and blushed. “No need to call me senpai. I’m just me.” He smiled and asked, “Do you have your new schedule for the start of term next week?”

"Right. S-sorry." Ai ducked her head, searching through her bag for the mentioned paper. "I've got it!" she declared, pulling out her schedule and nervously tugging on a loose strand of hair. "Do you think we share another class this term?"

"Oh, my family moved and your old number changed, so I guess I lost contact." He squeezed her back. "I’m so glad I saw you! I mean, Kumamon said he sensed Fairymon and I’ve been looking for an hour!"

"Me too! They probably wouldn't let you in, right?" She had just walked out of work when she heard her name called, so Tomoki must have been waiting outside for that time.
