A/N: I had emotions that I needed to purge and this was the result of it.

In another life where their fates were kinder, they marry on a sunny autumn day just as the leaves are turning into their rich hues to welcome the changing of seasons. On their faces were nothing but smiles and adoration as they walked hand in hand into their new lives together.

By their sides was everyone they love; their parents whom they served tea in delicate cups with the bright red "囍" etched in trims of gold, their siblings who cheered when it was their turn to be the ones serving the tea, their friends who came from far and wide to watch them be wedded.

In that life, they go home to their flat in the city and the jobs that fulfilled them.

They would have a calendar on the fridge with all the new places in the city they want to visit, and postcards and pictures of places far and wide they want to travel to just to have the food there.

Every Saturday, they would do groceries together and do the chores together. Every Sunday morning and afternoon would be set aside for dates together, then the evenings would be spent with their families. 

And when the time is right, there would be a happy baby or two that would be doted and loved. They would be supported, cared for, and never want for anything.

And in that ephemeral life that was theirs, Gu Xiang and Cai Weining lived happily ever after.
