Date Night [Cain/Amelia]

All three of the munchkins were with a babysitter, giving Cain and Amelia a free night, even though Amelia kept nervously checking her phone every five minutes to make sure there wasn't a text message from Sam with something bad happening to the children. It was her first night completely away from her newborn, so she was extra anxious.

They were out for dinner and a movie, something light, just to have fun. And truly, Amelia was having fun, was enjoying the chance to be out with her husband, but she was still worried about their children. Hell, their appetizers hadn’t even arrived at their table yet, and this was the sixth time she was checking her phone.

Morning Routines

Another morning, another bout of morning sickness. Another morning also meant getting Tommy ready now that school had started up again and getting Victoria ready for daycare (she was really becoming a social butterfly over there, from what the caregivers were saying). Amelia was now seven months pregnant, the start of the last trimester, and she was...nervous. Excited but very nervous. Cain had been staying at home more as the pregnancy progressed, so it did help calm the brunette somewhat.

Once she had finished being ill and drank some water, Amelia lied back down on the bed, awaiting Cain to return home after dropping.off the kids.

Cain Evans strolled down the mostly empty street hoping not to run into anyone since it was well past curfew and he was on his way to an illegal meeting. He didn’t want to cause any trouble tonight. Turning the corner, he bumped into someone.

Amelia stumbled back a step, having someone bumped into her. “Pardon me,” she apologized, dusting herself off, at first thinking it was just another soldier on patrol, when she noticed...it wasn’t.

She cleared her throat, standing up straight. “Curfew was three hours ago, good sir. What business have you outside?” Amelia questioned.

“Well...” Amelia paused for a moment, considering her options before she smiled shyly to the lieutenant. “That depends... Think you’re really that good at Risk to beat me for it? Or should we just go?” she teased.

Playing Hero

Amelia stepped into the interview room, spotting the soldier. “Lieutenant Evans, I presume? I’m Agent Davidson, nice to meet you,” she introduced herself to him, extending her hand to shake when she paused, noticing his eyes.

They were the prettiest shade of green... Just like...

She snapped out of her thoughts and smiled politely at him, taking her seat across the table from him. “I hope you don’t mind if we get started?”

Pre-Wedding Jitters

Two days before the big day... There was so much work to be done, still. Thankfully, the Evans' were a big help--and thankfully, Amelia and Cain just wanted a small wedding. But between Christmas, wedding planning, meeting his family and friends from Cain's home town, and taking care of the kids, it felt like Amelia barely had a moment to stop and just breathe.

Even less time for her and Cain.

She sat on their bed, dressed in one of Cain's army shirts and a pair of black leggings, waiting on him to join her in bed.

It's Been a Long, Long Time

@sinfullymaderp: Perking up at her voice “Ams?!” He asked excitedly Coughing through the haze of the medicines Cain sat up a little more trying to stay awake. “This is Cain, Cain Evans. Is this Amelia Davidson?” He asks groggily. “And if not just hang up.” He adds slowly. “If this is Amelia can you come to the VW hospital? I need to talk to you.” He says quickly feeling the meds start to kick up.

Amelia almost dropped her phone. She ignored Cassie's crying, unable to do anything in that moment, frozen in shock. Finally, the agent managed to forced herself to snap out of it. "Who is this really? Is this your idea of a joke? Because this is sick! Impersonating a dead soldier and calling up his fiancée is inhuman!" she snapped into the phone. Tears stung her eyes as she took a breath, awaiting the other person to apologize or hang up.

No, it was impossible. He had died. But...But that voice...it sounded so much like her beloved Cain that it made her heart ache with hope and shatter once more from pain.
