hi @ everyone i have been putting off writing this statement as i wanted to know 100% if i was making the right choice & to find the right words (very sorry that i’ve been not communicating properly recently)

after 10 incredible years on youtube, i’ve decided it’s time for me to step back and start something new. this journey has been filled with sooooo much joy, laughter, and connection, and I can’t begin to express how much your support has meant to me over the years.

when i first started, i never imagined how special this community would become… you’ve been with me not just through every video but every huge milestone in my early adulthood. although you didn’t see everything, 17-27 is a transformative time for anyone so it was hard for me to shy away from those changes while having a career online that prioritised honesty. i am deeply grateful for the support in all of these moments, especially the harder times.

i hope you can all respect my decision to hide my channel… at least for now. i’m still processing my feelings & going through personal changes in my life. i’m sorry it’s vague & may even seem sudden but i would appreciate privacy on my reasons “why?”

this decision wasn’t easy, it’s been sneaking up on me for a couple of years now, but i feel ready to explore new paths and new adventures outside of Sqaishey. PLEASE know that everything we’ve built here together will always have a huge place in my heart 💛

i want to say a massive THANK YOU to each and every one of you… your kindness, positivity, and love have made this journey one i will never forget. although i’m moving on, the memories we’ve shared will stay with me forever.

currently listeninf to stacyplays dogcraft series after years, because my sister is watching it. i know shes only watchijg it because she likes minecraft but i grew up w that!! and im so happy to see it being enjoyed by other generations aswell. i sobbed when the series ended, when that final episode came out when page passed away? tears. the deep end, diversity, kingdomcraft, the candy isle, CAKE QUEST. but especially dogcraft. she was all i watched when i got normal youtube taken away from me and was forced into YTkids. anyways!! rambling. jdk. i love stacyplays

I adored dog craft as a child as well as many of Stacyplays other series especially cake quest. So I naturally asked for the rest of the Wild Rescuers series for Christmas. Since despite it being years since I bought and read the first book I only recently learned how many more books there were in the series.

Let’s just say I reread Guardians of the Taiga and finished Escape to the Mesa plus another book I got for Christmas. And I’ve read them all in the past 3 days. And I’m probably going to finish reading the rest of the series within the week.

All I have to say is that I have fallen in love with Stacy’s writing yet again.

chapter 14: this won't end well, part one

in which stacy goes to the spawner for some arrows. it goes... unexpectedly.

tap-tap. tap-tap. stacy thumps her foot against the stairs, lost in planning her day. she almost misses sqaishey coming up behind her, nearly jumping when they speak: "stacy! stop smacking the stairs! you've got to apologize."

"oh, but, uh, i wasn't---" her brain is still all jumbled from the lack of sleep so she gives in and mutters a quick "sorry stairs. i think," she pauses, "i think i'm gonna go over to the spawner and see if there's anything over there? i need some string."

sqaishey hums in agreement, saying something about farming? we do need more food, she reasons, frowning at how unfilling the melons have been.

she sprints across the bridge, nudging a lime sheep to the side when it blocks the factory doors. she hums, lifts the trapdoors, and freezes when she sees void through the floor. "sqaishey! you blew up---oh gosh, okay um." a creeper stares at her from below, already flashing in warning. stacy scrambles back up and slams the trapdoors down behind her, just in time for a loud boom to rattle the factory walls. "sqaishey? there's lots of things down there." stress pitches her voice up as she backs away from the source of her fear.

"one minute! i've got a wooden pickaxe and i'm coming to rescue you!" they shout, and she can't help but wonder how effective a wooden pickaxe will really be. it's better than nothing, surely, but... a pickaxe? wooden?

she waits with her sword in broken silence, intermittent sounds echoing up from the basement; the hiss of a creeper, the shambling click of skeleton bones, the groaning of a zombie, the rhythmic tapping of a spider skittering up the wall.

"i'm here!" they crash through the doors, fading sunset like a halo around them, brandishing their wooden pickaxe. "now where are the meanie-beanies?"
