Sometimes Diamonds Fall into the Dirt
Cal wasn't considered a regular so much at The Gutter anymore, not since she had been changed. It was a place unaffected by time, everything just as she remembered it when she was alive. Some new faces and new names of alcohol for the warm-blooded among them, but that was it. She was still close with Jay, but not so much as she was before, and only came when she felt too down to hunt, taking advantage of the humans willing to give up their life source for some hefty funds. She never expected to find Armand there, of all places. After years, perhaps decades of searching for him, and him seeming to evade her always, had he come looking just for her? The young vampire thought for a moment to be coy and flirtatious, to approach lithely, acting as though she hadn't missed him terribly, but she wasn't much of an actress.
Arms stretching around him, she embraced him, burying her face into a soft auburn blanket of his hair and inhaling a scent that was akin to returning home after a long trip. "You knew you would find me here." She accused softly, happy that he had.
