We had just shot this countertop on an island in a kitchen we designed and I wanted to come straight overhead to see the map of pattern. // This set of flow blue vintage dishes I found in an antique store years ago is a bit unusual. The pattern was delicate and featured arrows along with ruffled gilt edges. Most flow blue patterns are floral or inspired by nature or scenes of life. I’ve pulled them out now and again for shoots and I just noticed this is a pasta bowl. Another oddity - pasta bowls are not always mixed in with traditional china collections. // The napkin in the top corner has a lace type of trim and this organic edge was repeated not only in the china pattern, the countertop, the napkin and the microgreens.
