I am officially done with all my calculus classes and I am so happy. I was so over that subject I didn’t even try at the end and ended up pulling a B out of my ass lol

Prof. My dude. Half the class has left. The other half has had their souls slowly seep out of them for the past hour and a half. Why you starting the next section. No one....is here for this

hello :) so today i found out that i can withdraw from my calc class before the 18th & a get a "W" on my transcript. i did research & a "W" isn't too bad as long as you don't have too many. well, i'm not failing my calc class, but i'm afraid i might end up with a D or a C. but if i drop it, i have to retake it next semester... and I feel like a C isn't that bad? but i'm not sure, i've been working hard all semester & it feels wasteful to just withdraw.
Hey there,
Since you're not failing, that's wonderful to hear. :) I go to a charter school so I don't really get grades, we do projects for credit. We still need 21.5 credits in order to graduate though, so that's mostly the same with other high schools.
Now, when I was in middle school, I was okay with getting a C, because I would get paid for my grades. $7 for A's. $5 for B's and nothing for C's. If I would have gotten a D or F I would have gotten things taken away from me and I would be grounded, but that's just my family. Everyone is different :)
To get back to your question, I have done some research on my own and from what I have come up with getting a "W" on your trans scrip isn't' the end of the world, sometimes it can actually be very helpful. If you drop your class and get a lower grade, that's okay because you're trying your best and that's really all that should matter, but sometimes its helpful to stay where you're at and finish your class. For me, It's better to be safe than sorry.
I want to clarify that you're a bright student and trying your best is amazing, keep up the good work. I know when I'm in a new class and I'm really not sure if I should keep it or switch. I usually wait a week and see if I can understand it some more and see if it's the class for me.
Go with your gut, if you feel like withdrawing from the class, that's your move, that's your choice. In life you always have choices no matter what the situation is. If you're thinking about staying in the class, keep up the awesome work and if you'd like you can talk to your teachers and get their opinion on everything :)
Hope my advice helps, please let me know if you ever need some more help, advice, support. I'm always here. Xoxo
holy fuck me. i was so certain i had got at least a 70 on the calculus test, and then i get it back and its a 59? What the literal shit im so mad i had known all the shit on this test
ok so today two of my classmates were copying my answers to the calculus assignment due the next period, and the one is like: "Hey Katie, how did you get this number here?" And im like: "i dont know, im trying to work on physics rn." And then then the other one is like "OMG! She doesnt even have the right numbers!" Well excuse you. Unlike you, who's doing the entire assignment in physics class 10min before its due, i did it almost a week ago, and checked it today at lunch against the answers of 3 other people, as well as asked 2 teachers. So if you think my answers are wrong and youre gonna be so downright rude about it, you can do it yourself and NOT copy mine for goodness sake
My favourite part of tutoring tonight was when my tutor looked at the back of the textbook and exclaimed "These little nerds!" upon finding that the answer we were looking for was badly phrased
im in calculus class and just realized that im at least a little delusional from lack of sleep. I just looked down at my paper and saw that i had written "therefore Ned Stark will be forced out of a job" instead of copying down the math.
