Name: Gaive Age: 464 Gender: Male Pronouns: He/Him Species: Calcanium Place of Origin: Calcania The eldest of the Almighty Leaders, the highest authority in the Calcanium Empire. Very little of his history is known, as he concealed a large portion of his past from databanks after ascending to the rank of Almighty Leader. Originally the newest of five Leaders, he suddenly became the solitary ruler of the Empire after a meeting rapidly devolved into a massacre, the four other Leaders killing each other over a dispute of power. Traumatised by the event, Gaive swiftly made a proclamation decreeing no more than three Almighty Leaders could ever rule at one time, with the eldest holding ultimate authority. He later chose Renn and Qil as his new co-rulers, preparing them to rule in his stead.

Name: Qil Age: 301 Gender: Female Pronouns: She/Her Species: Calcanium Place of Origin: Tavarek

Qil was born on one of the Empire's colony planets, Tavarek. After completing her Academy training she was assigned a civilian, working on Tavarek's agricultural farms. She was chosen as an Almighty Leader after many years of service, overseeing the construction of new colonies and the subsequent social aspects. Although she likes to depict herself as a kind and gentle ruler, she is even more ruthless and bloodthirsty than her fellow Leader Renn.

Name: Renn Age: 238 Gender: Male Pronouns: He/Him Species: Calcanium Place of Origin: Oranu moon

The youngest Almighty Leader in recorded history, Renn was initially a soldier from the same gene batch as Piq. Known for his aggressive nature when serving as a soldier, his newfound power went to his head after his coronation. He oversees the Empire's armies and education, taking a hands-on approach by making regular in-person inspections. He is infamous for his violent temper and tendency to lash out at those who displease him, and often clashes with his fellow Leader, Qil.

A former soldier under Commander Annihil, well-respected for his efficiency and ruthlessness. A hardworking member of his squadron, Etka was injured in a battle again the Marinians, result in severe cracking across his face. Due to the risk further cracking could pose to his internals, he was reassigned to a Healer, a process that cosmetically damaged his eyes. Although initially frustrated by this change he quickly proved incredibly adept in his new role, even being personally requested by General Zhun to serve onboard his ship The Comet's Shade.

Name: Zhun Age: 479 Gender: Male Pronouns: He/Him Species: Calcanium Place of Origin: Calcania

One of the oldest living calcaniums, and by far the most decorated and famous general. Known for his ruthlessness in battle and dedication to his duty, he is highly praised by all three Almighty Leaders, an incredibly high honour. Despite his popularity amongst both troops and civilians, he is cunning and manipulative, taking advantage of those he deems more vulnerable.

Name: Gaz Age: 106 Gender: Male Pronouns: He/Him Species: Calcanium Place of Origin: Calcania

A young prodigy of the Technician rank, but with the unfortunate catch of being an unbearable show-off. He formed an intense rivalry with Kels, as they shared Basic Training classes together, and Gaz was infuriated when, upon being assigned to Commander Piq's ship The Endeavour, he discovered Kels was her main scout. An inventor in his own right, Gaz regularly performs upgrades beyond routine maintenance and invents new technology for the crew to use. Despite his arrogance and demand for praise, he is undeniably a dedicated and loyal worker.

Name: Piq Age: 238 Gender: Female Pronouns: She/Her Species: Calcanium Place of Origin: Oranu moon

A commander of the Calcanium empire and captain of The Endeavour. One of the highest-ranking graduates of her academy class, she quickly climbed the ranks from soldier to a scout under Commander Motz, who recommended her to the Almighty Leaders. Promoted to commander, she was blinded in her right eye by the reassignment chemicals. Despite this she continued to prove incredibly adept and efficient, popular amongst the Calcanium troops for her generous rewards for hard work.
