☀️ It begins with Sandy’s birthday Fall 15
Emily visits her in Calico Desert. Clint’s there, too—called over by the Desert Trader to crack geodes and maybe find something rare. He shows up in full blacksmith gear, because of course he does. In the desert. Where it’s hot. And dry. And unforgiving to emotionally repressed men in leather aprons.
He’s sweating. Dizzy. Dehydrated.
On his way out, he sees Emily and Sandy walking toward him. Their silhouettes blur in the heat.
Matching hair, matching clothes. Clint’s lightheaded. He confuses them.
"A birthday gift? That's very kind of you. I love it!"
Sandy’s heart meter skyrockets. Clint faints. Wakes up in Harvey’s clinic.
She sends him a Jade afterward.
She thinks he’s just weird and sweet.
Neither of them knows the game has now registered this as a relationship.
Clint sends her an Amethyst as thank you for taking him to the clinic. With a note like
“This reminded me of you. It’s… strong.
Sandy: “That’s the weirdest compliment I’ve ever received.”
Also Sandy: sends a Ruby back.
They’ve now reached 6 hearts. They don’t know it. But the events start triggering.
Winter. Pierre’s General Store. Clint’s birthday is coming up.
The Farmer shows up, grabs a bunch of bouquets (for his next 3 bachelors/bachelorette), and rushes out. Drops one on the way.
“Oh—uh—wait, you dropped—”
He bends down just as the door swings open.
Enters Sandy, full of sun and desert charm.
Followed by Emily, smiling big.
Clint stands up too fast and accidentally hands the bouquet to Sandy.
Mayor Lewis: “…Well now.”
Emily: “Oh! Clint, I didn’t know you were the romantic type.”
“I—I—wait, I think that was—Farmer—!”
Sandy, catching her breath, holding the bouquet:

💖 “Sandy accepted your bouquet! You’re now dating!”
He goes home to stare at the wall.
🎟️ Then the 10-heart event happens.
Winter 26 – Clint’s Birthday.
Farmer gave Clint a movie ticket for his birthday, but got busy on Ginger Island and forgot.
Snow falls gently. Decorations from the Feast of the Winter Star still hang on signs and lamp posts.
Clint stands awkwardly outside the cinema, ticket in hand, pacing in front of the “Blizzard and the Space Potato” poster.
“Well… guess the farmer got caught up… I can go home. No big deal.”
Sandy shows up unexpectedly.
She says she was coming to give him a birthday gift—a homemade Tom Kha Soup.
"I don't usually get birthday gifts. This actually means a lot, Sandy. Thank you"
He stammers, blushes, and asks: “Would you… maybe want to see the movie with me?”
It’s awkward. They share a stardrop sorbet.
She laughs. He smiles, softly.
