A delicious California Cheeseburger made with Tillamook Cheddar Cheese, ripe avocado, and a special sauce. It's a classic burger with a California twist!
Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. 4 hamburger buns. 4 slices Tillamook Cheddar Cheese. 1 ripe avocado, sliced. 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced. 1 tomato, sliced. 1/4 cup lettuce leaves. 4 tablespoons mayonnaise. 1 tablespoon ketchup. 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Set your grill or griddle on the stove to medium-high heat to get it ready. Shape the ground beef into 4 burger patties that are all the same size. Add salt and pepper to each patty. Put the burger patties on the grill or griddle and cook them for four to five minutes on each side, or until they're done the way you like them. Cover each patty with a lid and put a slice of Tillamook Cheddar Cheese on top in the last minute of cooking. This will melt the cheese. Toast the buns on the grill until they are lightly browned while the burgers are cooking. The mayonnaise, ketchup, and Dijon mustard should all be mixed together in a small bowl to make a fancy sauce. Put the burgers together: Put some of the special sauce on the bottom half of each bun. Add a leaf of lettuce, a burger patty with melted Tillamook Cheddar Cheese, avocado slices, tomato slices, and red onion slices on top. Add the top half of the bun to finish. Feel free to add your favorite sides to your California Cheeseburgers and enjoy!
