Tillamook Cheddar Cheese, ripe avocado, and a special sauce are used to make this tasty California Cheeseburger. This burger has a Californian twist on the classic style.
Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. 4 hamburger buns. 4 slices Tillamook Cheddar Cheese. 1 ripe avocado, sliced. 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced. 1 tomato, sliced. 1/4 cup lettuce leaves. 4 tablespoons mayonnaise. 1 tablespoon ketchup. 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Preheat your grill or stovetop griddle over medium-high heat. Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties. Season each patty with salt and pepper. Place the burger patties on the grill or griddle and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Tillamook Cheddar Cheese on each patty and cover with a lid to melt the cheese. While the burgers are cooking, toast the hamburger buns on the grill until lightly browned. In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, ketchup, and Dijon mustard to make a special sauce. Assemble the burgers: Spread the special sauce on the bottom half of each bun. Top with a lettuce leaf, a burger patty with melted Tillamook Cheddar Cheese, avocado slices, tomato slices, and red onion slices. Finish with the top half of the bun. Serve your California Cheeseburgers with your favorite sides and enjoy!
