From the moment Pit landed, he was thankful that these ruins were abandoned; not only were they creepy from the get-go, but even it the light of midday, a lingering shadow, shifting, slithering, almost tangible darkness hung over the dilapidated temple; it’s once pristine, ivory-veined walls now stained with a suffocating veil of negativity; it’s doors, which currently sat sealed shut, concealing unholy, unspeakable creatures that thrive in darkness. This was no place for mortals - or at least, that was what Lady Palutena had told him before he’d spotted it from the air. And he could confirm that it, indeed, looked like a budding nest for a bunch of dumb monsters.
“I know that this a bit different, from most of the missions I give you Pit, and considering what’s happened beforehand, perhaps a foolhardy one; are you sure you’re alright with taking this on? I don’t mind taking you back now.”
“Aw, you don’t need to worry about me Lady Palutena! I’ve handled much worse, and you know that! I’ll be fine, really!” He replied, gripping his weapon tighter, almost as reassurance; it was a fairly new sword, a stark white blade with a fiery guard and hilt, shaped like a cutlass, but with a slightly more exaggerated curve, defined by a ruby-red streak going along it; the sword had jagged ridges going down the cutting edge that pointed downwards, making it more a flesh-ripper than a clean-cutter. It had a bit of a dragon motif going on, with the hilt being decorated with an orange, spiraling wyvern; it’s wings serving as the the cross-guard, and it’s tail, flattened against the hilt for convince, spiraling down towards the pommel - but nothing special, as it was, after all, a prototype. Initially, he wasn’t going to bring it along, as Lady Palutena had pointed out that it wasn’t quite finished, but it needed testing, didn’t it? And what better way to test a magic holy-fire blade than by defeating a spawning ground for Heartless?
...But he had brought along his usual bow, now slung across his back, just in case.
“I don’t doubt you Pit - really, don’t look at me like that, I don’t! I’d just prefer to be cautious in this: I’ve never seen an infestation get this...”
“astronomically overblown. Putting in lightly, it’s concerning, so I’d like to take this slowly, carefully. A single wrong move could spell trouble for you, Pit; I don’t want to see you taking any unnecessary risks, alright?”
“I know, I know; you’ve said something along these lines like, five times since I left Skyworld.” Maybe that was actually six? He had lost count; seriously, it wasn’t that big of a deal. Sure, Heartless were scary and all, but they were still monsters, they could still be killed!
“Seven. I said something along those lines seven times, Pit. That just says to me that you weren’t paying attention! Which justifies me saying it an eighth time: Really, just don’t die.” She added a small giggle to the end of her sentence, before continuing with a “well? Any counterarguments to that?”
Instead of responding coherently, Pit settled with a grumbling pout, before beaming her a smile: he’d had too many times lately where he and Palutena couldn’t communicate for whatever reason; it was nice just be able to talk to her sometimes! Even if she was just harassing him again.
“Okay, I’m going in! Don’t wish me luck, ‘cause I won’t need it!” And with that, he grabbed the rusted handle of the temple’s door, and began to slowly (for effect, not because it was heavy) pry it open.
“I’m still going to anyway. Again Pit, for the ninth time, be careful:”
“It’s a tad hard to tell because of the Heartless, but, Pit,”
“I don’t think we’re alone.”

Well this is certainly unexpected, he really didn't think this guy would enter this alley way of all of the Alley ways in Radiant Garden, and he had just so happened to walk out of a corridor of darkness. Well shit.
Speaking of which, this stranger has the same color skin as that girl with the ram horns, Yet this one seems grumpier...almost like Grumpy Light. Would this guy be interested in messing things up too? Maybe he also knows heartless speak? Ehh.. doesn't look like it. This guy also looks like he is some kind of big shot, maybe high status?
