Holy shit. Johnna gingerly picks up his birds nest and sets it next to his husktop, shelter it a little. He's on auto pilot now, blinking still blinking rapidly, trying to shake the sudden memories of that shitty day.
Once his bird's are safe, he leaps out of the crow's nest, landing hard on the deck. He runs across the deck and onto the bowsprit, then launches himself right off and runs into town.
