As we are all adjusting to a new way of living I encourage families of faith to come together daily and do some reading of the Bible together and a time of corporate prayer. This can add some stability, some calmness, and some strength in an uncertain world! Our family started reading the Bible and went through the whole thing in the first 90 days of the year because I felt the call for us to get more in the word this year. It only took from 30 minutes to an hour a day to read all the way through which is amazing! It really got us thinking, praying, and connecting the word. You don’t have to do what we did. You can find a Bible reading plan or just pick a chapter to focus on. It doesn’t have to be a planned out Bible study. Your family members can pick out a verse that speaks to them and share it if they are older children. If you have younger children you add a Bible story book to the Bible time. Some families are over stressed and are at their limits being in one place 24/7. We have the chance to grow in faith and build our family bonds even stronger during this uncertain time! This verse was my grandma’s favorite. I decided to draw it out on the sidewalk today to spread some love. Be strong and be like the tree planted by the streams of water. Stay rooted in God’s love and God’s word. Love you all and praying for our world! Stay safe and stay strong!
