How are you doing? No, really! How are you doing? On Resurrection Day my husband, son, & I worshiped & did our Bible study in our living room. It was almost surreal! I had planned on us worshiping at sunrise in a park this year but all parks were shut down! Though we had a great time I found myself angry later. Why? Because our neighborhood began to fill with others who do not live in our neighborhood, even at first responder and frontline people’s homes. I can tell you that all that bitterness did nothing but steal my joy. I was angry that others were putting themselves at risk, & I was jealous of the extended families gathering. Instead of letting it take root I got to work! I worked on little projects around my house and listened to worship music. This year was the first in 49 years that I did not gather with family to celebrate the Resurrection of our Savior! It felt so wrong! But God was still in the midst of us and Yeshua is still with Him watching over us & pleading our cases before His Father! Yesterday in Bible study I was caught by this verse! “Be patient, then, brothers and sisters, until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop, patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains. You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord’s coming is near. Don’t grumble against one another, brothers and sisters, or you will be judged. The Judge is standing at the door! Brothers and sisters, as an example of patience in the face of suffering, take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. As you know, we count as blessed those who have persevered. You have heard of Job’s perseverance and have seen what the Lord finally brought about. The Lord is full of compassion and mercy.” James 5:7-11 NIV I knew right away that I needed to have forgiveness in my heart ❤️ rather than bitterness. I knew I needed to pray for those who did gather...I knew I needed to live out the love set before us in this verse! We all are working out our faith with fear and trembling as the Bible says. We must remember that and live out our faith with honor! #faith #james5v7to10 #hope #gracesoaring #forgive https://www.instagram.com/p/B-915BMgiOd/?igshid=169l9xk84tfbn
