For talking to committee
@everyone due to the constantly changing list of bill names and numbers, I would state that we want them to oppose all of the current internet bills — and specifically everything on the schedule for Thursday's markup — as well as to protect Section 230
Most congresspeople have voicemails open after hours, so you don't have to specify your address, and there's a list of the subcommittee's phone numbers and zipcodes below
🚨KOSA, app store restrictions and ID checks are expected to be reviewed by House Energy and Commerce Committee this week, bringing us that much closer to a censored Internet under the guise of “kids safety"!
We have to keep up the pressure against these bills! www.badinternetbills.com

hello i am calling about various internet policy being brought up in next week
first m decode is [give zip code]
First, I want to state Section 230 of the 1996 Communications Decency Act should not be repealed or allowed to sunset. it is the only thing protecting users online from being censored. Section 230 is the backbone of the internet. it makes only users accountable for what they post online with hosting sites simply required to remove the illegal content once pointed out to them.,, It does not protect companies from reporting child pornography . Removing it would slow the internet and open the floodgates to lawsuits that only Big Tech would be able to afford. It
We need to also say NO to the App Store Accountability Act and other digital id systems and age verification laws! Digital ID systems and Age verification attempts in theUK have been disastrous, leading to hackers stealing a lot of children's personal information because it was collected all in one place. It made children less safe. Centralized storage of personal data creates high-value targets, resulting in massive breaches, identity theft, and ransomware attacks.
Finally Kosa, or the Kids online safety act, is a bill that would be weaponized by unelected bureaucrats to censor Americans. The bill lets any state attorney general and the FTC to sue any website for “harmful” content.. Big Tech and credit card companies are already censoring us. That’s why they support KOSA. Its massive government overreach.
( for republicans i point out the democrat Blumenthal is the main force behind kosa
Finally Kosa, or Kids online safety act, is a bill that would be weaponized by unelected bureaucrats to censor Americans and you must wonder why Blumenthal is pushing it so hard .The bill lets any state attorney general and the FTC to sue any website for “harmful” content.Big Tech and credit card companies are already censoring us. thank you for your time
anothe call script
Basically call script for KIDS Act
"Hello, my name is [NAME].
I am calling urging you to oppose the passage of the Kids Internet and Digital Safety Act. Or KIDS Act.
This deceptively named bill, while it claims to protect children on the internet, is nothing but a Trojan horse for censorship and control of information. It was made by people who are trying to brute force through Congress a collection of controversial internet bills covering everything from age verification, online ID, and data collection just for people to be able to do something as simple as use a search engine or download an app. Do you really want Big Tech companies to be allowed and even encouraged to collect mass amounts of data to supposedly protect children? By trying to sneak through a collection of controversial bills like KOSA and the SCREEN Act under a new name, this bill undermines the foundation of the citizens privacy and safety in online spaces.
Vote against the KIDS Act, and all other internet bills which threaten the integrity of our privacy and freedoms online."

Some 5calls campaigns to use in your day to bring real progress and hold your congress and reps accountable. Remember that calling about these issues is the best way you can make an impact, emails/fax/letters and so on shouldn't be completely disregarded, but calling is your most effective way to make your voices heard. They may not exactly "agree" with you, but you can sure as hell pressure them! Remember that it IS your RIGHT to make your voice heard on these issues.
Hey so the Laken Riley Act has gotten past the House and has been reintroduced to the Senate, and we really gotta take action about it, because the whole point of it is to force law enforcement to detain illegal immigrants for pretty much any alleged crime including things like suspected shoplifting, even if it's not been proven.
Please call your senators about it and tell them not to support the bill.
For a basic script, use this (feel free to add a bit about it being super racist if you have a senator who will be receptive to that)
Hi. I'm calling today from [state your person represents] as a constituent of [name of your person]. I heard about HR 29, or the Laken Riley Act, and was calling to express my deep concern for it, as it would seriously harm [name of your person]'s constituents in my community, by forcing law enforcement to go ahead with detentions they deem unnecessary, which would waste [name for people who live in your state]'s tax dollars. Because of this, I'm calling on [him/her] to vote NO when the bill comes to a floor vote.
(They'll say that they'll pass it along)
Thank you, I appreciate that. Have a good day. *hang up*

reposting and editing my ceasefire call script because it got taken down. don't lose traction now, none of this is over.
"Hello, *my name is [your name]. I am a constituent of [congressperson], and I am calling to inform you about the numerous genocides happening worldwide. At this point in time, you are likely already aware of the genocide of Palestinian and Ukranian people, but there are many more genocides happening in the world, and the overlooking of such happenings, while innocents continue to suffer, must end.
Currently, Congolese, Armenian, Tigrayan, Yemeni, Guatemalan, Rohingya, Haitian, Native American, Kashmiri, Kurd, Sudanese, Ukrainian, Palestinian, Argentinian, Afghan, Moroccan, Libyan, Syrian, Lebanese, West Papuan, Cameroonian, Burmese, Uyghurs, Iraqi, Somali, Hawai’ian, Puerto Rican, Senegalese, Kenyan, Ethiopian, Cuban and many more people are experiencing genocide (or close risk of it, according to genocidewatch.com), along with ethnic cleansing, displacement, restrictions on living necessities, and
the like. Also currently, the United States government continues to be not only complicit, but supportive of these attacks out of ignorance and selfish benefit.
In order to maintain current support, it is dire that you take action on the side of the people. Please do research on each and take a look into doing whatever possible to save the innocent people around the world from living a life of constant abuse and murder.
Some things you can do, for example, include:
- Calling for (or implementing):
The appointment of special envoys
A reversal of the funding cuts to UNRWA
An increase in funding to and the development of NGOs providing humanitarian aid
A permanent and immediate ceasefire for relevant locations (such as Gaza)
- Voting NO on the supplemental funding package to send more weapons to Israel (if you are in the position to do so)
Thank you for your time. I trust that you will do what you would want other countries to do for us."
*before adding your name, check to see if your congressperson requires it. if not, dont give more information than required.
im going off of whats required in email forms for my congresspeople, but im not entirely sure if thats a good way to do it, so feel free to add if you have a better way, mainly for being able to know without having to ask directly, since i and others are calling while out of hours.
