I was just reading an incredibly transphobic article about Caitlyn online (which was as bad as it sounds) and went to the comment section and the first comment was a guy complaining that she said she’s attracted to women, but she gets to use female bathrooms and I’m just thinking this guy has never heard of a lesbian before, has he? Don’t worry dude, I think women are safe on this one.
I would just like to take a minute to say how incredibly happy I am for Caitlyn Jenner. She lived her whole life hiding behind a mask, pretending to be something she knew in her heart was a lie but now she gets the chance to be true to herself and show the world who she really is which let me just say, is fucking amazing. Caitlyn is absolutely stunning (Seriously, have you seen her cover? She’s a total babe and fucking owns it!) and she’s demonstrated such courage in rising above this mythical societal norm. You can physically see how happy she is, she’s literally glowing. She is such an inspiration and shows that it’s never too late to be who you are. I can only imagine how wonderful it feels for her to finally show the real Caitlyn. I remember when I first came out.. It was like I had been holding my breath my entire life when finally, I could exhale and breathe in a new breath for the first time. It’s incredible what that freedom feels like and I wish Caitlyn nothing but the best. She deserves it.
Actually crying real tears after NBC Nightly News' report of the Caitlyn Jenner story tonight. Absolutely beautifully covered, it was done accurately, correctly, and respectively. The more I lose hope for the media on this subject, the more I seem to gain it back. Proud today!
