It's been a while since I made a pink holder, but I had a custom order for one last week, so I decided to make two 🌹💕. I also decided to take a shot at making a video so you can see better how the ergonomic form really looks. I need to figure out how to make a steady pan and smooth focus adjustments... but it was fun to make 😊. Backing track is from my friend @ianfking and his band #MissingVwls. The holder is carved from a rose tone dyed and spalted maple. It's now available in my Etsy shop if you're interested (buyers choice on the flange), link to my shop is in my profile 😊

The grain on these two holders is so pretty I thought I'd try a video for once 😊 The dark brown one is some lovely French walnut. The foot of the two part one is undyed buckeye burl, and the tail is white ash that had some really nice luster. The music is a track from my friend @ian_f_king and his project Missing Vwls off an album titled Movement. -

Ok! First real test of my new wood burning brand for my penholders 😃. I'll have to get used to how to line it up correctly with the foot of the holder so that it's in the right spot, but I think it came out pretty well (especially since this is on a piece of lignum vitae which really boils more than it burns). Now I just want to go around burning everything 😈🔥

Seems like the sun’s finally out for the season in Chicago. This general fit yellowheart holder is picking up all the rays 🌞. Mondays are almost always shipping days, but this little custom order purpleheart stubby holder is staying local and got picked up last night 😊. For those of you not familiar with purpleheart, this is its natural undyed color... it grows this way!!!💜
