Sketches in my journal – I don't use it as a real calendar, it's more something like visual record keeping, whenever I have some minutes. A place to try out things with more casualness than in a serious layout or job, but with more effort to create something overall pleasing than on the loose sheets I use for warm-up and practicing. And no pencil layouts here! Obviously not everything works or is perfect, but it's a nice and relaxed process for me.
