Encouraging Generosity with Collage

Round Table [Collaboration] project founder Marty McCutcheon has begun work on Postal-Collage Project #7. This collaborative collage making involves 200 artists who are producing work between September 2017 and February 2018. Artists work in groups of five. Each artist starts a collage and contributes to four others. The finished collages will be displayed at three or more venues in Spring-Summer 2018. MORE

Collage, Montage, Assemblage

Deadline: 1 December 2017. The two-day multidisciplinary conference, “Collected and Composite Forms, 1700–Present at the University of Edinburgh”, 18–19 April 2018, will explore the medium of collage across an unprecedentedly broad chronological range, considering its production and consumption over a period of more than three hundred years. The conference will situate histories of modernist collage in relation to a much broader range of cultural practices, allowing for productive parallels to be drawn between the cultural productions of periods that are often subject to rigid chronological divisions. MORE

Analogue Decollage

Deadline: 7 January 2018. The exhibition is curated by Maurus Knowles (Ludwig) and Olivia Descampe (artist) and will take place at Ludwig, in Berlin’s Neukölln District, for 5 weeks in February-March 2018. The exhibition is open to all artists who want to participate in a group exhibition by creating an artwork using the technique of analog decollage. But also note that only artists who are able to attend the exhibition and retrieve their work at the end of the exhibition will be chosen. MORE
