So I purchased a copy of Calm some days ago and it has been an absolutely wonderful experience.
Calm is a book which goes with an app of the same name. The app helps you meditate with ambient sounds and prepares a cycle for you. It’s convenience is highlighted. I was vary of it at first because I considered meditation to be seriously boring but Calm is just a 2 to 5 minute break in a day, not some horribly tedious and dull thing to get through.
The book is a sort of accessory to the app. It is designed to improve mindfulness. Calm takes you through sections like nature, sleep, travel, food, creativity and many more; there is no linear way of reading this book. You just pick it up and open any page you like and there’s something there that will help you vent, that will help you make the most of most things.
Calm puts together fun activities and guides you through dealing with your life. It doesn’t dictate a way of life but only acts as a push to achieving as much mental calm as you can everyday.
