/post/133767867509/ and /post/133363244969/ are what I was concerned with. Maybe you forgot about your responses to these asks in particular, which is fine and happens occasionally, but that smacks to me as really inappropriate.
Have gone back and checked, and thanks for making clear which posts you meant!
Let’s see, the first one was super-flippant, hence the :-p face at the end–not intended as actual speculation, more like, no, I don’t know what happened, this is me being…not sarcastic but not serious, either; I’d had multiple people ask me what happened next, so my answer there is meant to be read in a joking way: “I don’t know, let’s say that sex happened if you want an answer, this is tumblr and full of fan culture, why not…” Maybe the tone doesn’t come across? If it doesn’t, I am sorry about that; but it’s still not actual speculation. (Speculation would imply that I’d been actively thinking about and considering possibilities; I wasn’t and haven’t.) I actually haven’t really ever thought about them again, other than reading people’s fic that used the story as inspiration. (Honestly, as a professor, I am vastly amused that anyone thinks I spend *that much* time thinking about students after I’m done with teaching/office hours/advising and finally home! *laughs* Nope, nope. I want to *not* think about students as much as possible!)
That second one literally just says that I assume they’re busy enjoying themselves, as an amusing possible explanation (of course there’re other possible explanations! he might’ve transferred, had a schedule change, was only there that time to meet his friend, who knows) for why I never saw Student again the rest of the semester. That’s only sexual if you want it to be; I mean, Awesome Husband and I enjoy bookstore trips, nice dinners, museums, travel to Europe… I admit I did use the word ‘assume,’ which might not’ve been the best choice, but I was answering an ask and not putting a ton of thought into it, and I want to believe they had a happy ending and are having fun together, so I suppose I am going to assume they did, in the absence of further information! :-)
Does that help? I mean, I can take down the first one, because I can see how it can be read as more problematic, if the intended tone doesn’t come across. *shrug* I’m not emotionally invested in that random reply, so if it’s bothering someone, it can go. I don’t think the second one’s really a problem, other than that I probably should’ve been clearer in wording and said something like ‘if I were writing the fictional version the characters would be enjoying themselves,’ versus using ‘assume’; but as far as content, I don’t read that one as objectionable, I think?
