This ia an anime "Kaguya Sama: love is war". S2 E9
This episode displayed the application of "calming ritual". Right from how to find it to how and when of its use.
This is great in context and on paper, so, I decided to use it. Will com back to share my results.
If someone has any ideas or tips on how to develop a calming ritual or use it; do ping me!
Bath Ritual to put you At Ease
Need:
Preferred bathbomb, with a calming scent (for me it was a lavender one)
Preferred bubble bath, also a calming scent (again for me, lavender)
Ritual Candle (at least one, mine was a short, silver taper)
A Bathtub of some sort!
Tea of your favorite kind (I really like lavender and chamomile)
First, rinse your tub a bit, to clean it (or if youre going hardcore on this, actually clean your tub - if using chemicals, do it well in advance and rinse it very well)
Make your tea and enjoy it! (Optional, but i love having a mug of tea while sitting in a warm bath)
Light your candle! I keep mine on the ledge of the tub, but near the tub in general is fine if you are worried about getting hurt or knocking it over.
Run the water to your preferred temp, I like it quite warm. Then add a lazy dollop of the bubble bath (dont go crazy, too many bubbles are overwhelming and not the goal!)
Then I added the bath bomb and let it dissolve completely before getting in.
For an additional (but optional) touch, i had my opalite and rainbow aura quartz on the soap dish - if you use other stones, double check that they wont dissolve. I know for sure that selenite does, as do others.
Now, during this bath, I shaved my legs, cause for me thats relaxing, but I didnt scrub up, in fact my hair didnt get wet much at all. (I did do my nightly face wash, I love it). The idea is to relax, so if it is uncomfortable to bathe without washing, dont stress, just do what makes you calm.
I followed up by air-drying, finishing my bedtime routine and breaking into a new body lotion before going to bed.
Enjoy! If you try this out, let me know how it goes!
I worried to death about something that’s probably all in my head...would this witch have any advice?
First, Just because it’s probably all in your head does not mean your worries aren’t very real, no amount of telling yourself you‘re being irrational will help. You must acknowledge them, for you cannot get rid of something you aren’t convinced is even there.
Second, get yourself some time to yourself, brew a cup of tea, preferably with lavender or chamomile. Sit down with your cup and stir counterclockwise to banish your worries. Then drink your tea, take your time doing so, you can look outside a window or think about the rest of your day, or just let your thoughts wander. Whenever you feel yourself spiralling back into your anxiety bring yourself back to the cup of tea, take another sip. When the cup is empty wash it out and put it back immediately.
Third, as someone with an anxiety disorder those small rituals don’t always help me, if you find that nothing seems to calm you down and you find yourself getting worse, try and seek help from a professional. Witchcraft is no substitute for therapy or medication.
Lastly, I hope this helps and you can move on with your thoughts to more pleasant subjects. If you need anything more, let me know. Lots of Love 💕
The Fortune Teller's Daughter's Storm and Sea Anti-Anxiety Bath Ritual
This is my literal favorite ritual I have written myself, and I though I would share it today.
You will need:
Purified storm water
Your favorite water-safe crystals
Your favorite treat
A calming oil, I use DoTerra's Peace Blend
A seashell
Optional ingredients:
Dried lavender or chamomile
Music
Candles
Marijuana
Run your bath with a splash of storm water, and your dried herbs if using them.
If using candles, light them now.
Add a few drops of your calming oils to the seashell and place it on the water. Watch how it slowly sinks to the bottom. Place your crystals in the water as well.
Chant, out loud or in your head
"Bring me strength by storm and sea
To bathe away my anxiety
Beyond the fear let me be me
As I will it, so shall it be"
Eat your candy, you deserve that shit.
Sit in the warm water and relax. Listen to music. Read a book. Smoke a bowl. Know that you're a fucking rock star.
Dream Recall Ritual: “Threads of the Sleeping Star”
Before Sleep:
🌾 Set the Space Light a candle or hold something comforting (a plush, a crystal, your favorite pen). Say softly:
“Tonight I travel where stars weave truth. I open my heart to the stories of sleep. May I walk gently through dreams, and bring their magic back to me.”
🖋️ Place your journal by your bed with a pen or stylus. If digital, open a blank page and write: “I remember my dreams with love and clarity.”
Upon Waking:
🧘 Stay still and slow The moment you open your eyes, don’t move. Let the dream linger. Ask yourself:
Where was I just now?
Who was with me?
What colors or feelings remain?
💫 Call the dream back Whisper:
“Threads of the sleeping star, return to me who you are. From shadow, shape, and silver air, bring me stories, soft and rare.”
✍️ Write without judgment Even fragments are precious. Jot down:
Sensations
Words or names
Emotions
Symbols (doors, animals, weather)
End with: “I thank my dreams for visiting me.”
Calming ritual
No words or candles needed. When you're stressed, nervous, angry, waking up, or trying to get to sleep: Breathe from your diaphragm. Make sure your shoulders don't rise but your stomach does. Close your eyes and inhale through your nose and exhale through your mouth. Do this 3-5 times. It's a secret that we are born with, but lose with age.
