Unusual Help | Noi, Shin, and Tanjiro

The seedy underbelly of Shizume City wasn’t anything new to Noi, not by a long shot. She’d been involved with it since she was young thanks to her cousin and current boss, En. It became a routine, but even so, she never got bored of it. There was definitely a thrill tied to her job, even though most of the opponents she went up against were no match for her and her partner.

This job, however, had very little information behind it besides the general area where the group their boss wanted gone frequented. And so Noi and Shin were there, wandering the streets to look for clues on where to go. Most people, understandably, weren’t exactly eager to speak to the two masked hitmen.

“This is annoying,” Noi whined. “We’re not getting anywhere and I’m getting hungry. Do you think we’d miss them if we just got something to eat for a few minutes?”

Before she was able to get a response, a gunshot resounded through the streets. Noi whipped her head in the direction of the report. “Oh! Looks like that’s gonna have to wait. Let’s go, senpai!” Without waiting, she dashed off into the streets to locate the source.

Another Era | V and Tanjiro

V was... confused, to say the least. He couldn’t recall how he had ended up in this place, but it certainly wasn’t Shizume. Or if it was, it wasn’t the city in the current day. The clothing of the villagers bustling around him as the sun began to sink lower in the sky and the structures of the village itself told him as much. “This is curious...” he muttered to himself, eyes scanning his surroundings for any hint of his current location or even time.

“The work of a strain, maybe?” Griffon asked within V’s mind. “I’d come out, but all these people are armed to the teeth and I don’t think they’d like seeing me appear out of nowhere. Those swords and spears look awful sharp and I like having all my beautiful feathers.”

V ignored his familiar, but he had to admit that a strain with the power to control time, or transport through it, wasn’t too large of a stretch. He walked through the village, trying to get a read on the situation, but what grabbed his attention was a young man with dark hair and a large mark on his forehead looking just as confused as V felt.

“Pardon me,” he said, approaching the boy. “This may be an odd question, but are you from this village?”

The Goodest Boy || Minato & Tanjiro

“Koromaru?”

Minato often walked Koromaru in the evening when his classes had wrapped up for the day, but every so often Koromaru seemed to want to take a different route. That was fine as the end destination was always the shrine, but Minato never walked him with a leash and so it was a little concerning when the dog wanted to run off ahead. However, he never barked for no reason, and so when he barked a couple of times before charging on ahead (and frequently turning around to ensure his friend was following), Minato was right behind him. 

The albino shiba inu, wearing a sleeveless white shirt that simply read ‘I’m Baby’ along with a picture of a video game character pointing at the words. eventually reached his target: a tanned young man with dark hair that was combed back. As the dog barked twice and wagged his tail, his current owner approached a bit more slowly, hunched over with his hands in his pocket. His shirt matched the one the dog was wearing, except it read ‘He’s baby’. His expression was blank completely blank, and truthfully he didn’t have much going on in his mind, but he probably had to apologize to this kid considering his dog was shouting a him...even if he was just being friendly. “Sorry...about him,” he said calmly, glancing down at the animal to make it clear who he was referring to.
