There are things that aid us in stopping the mind still. First of all, try to be a person who looks at/sees the world according to the reality. In life, we can receive or lack a wide variety or things: praise, position, wealth, happiness, pain. Don’t be disrupted by or afraid of the changes. Don’t be affected by what it is that we like or dislike. So in this world we have been disrupted by things like praise, position, wealth, happiness and pain because we forget to treat ourselves first with the stillness of the mind and that's why many people are still committing suicide because they have put all the energy in getting their wealth and when it get stolen or damage, they will see like their lives are useless and they end up destroying themselves. Has at times I do think religious teaches us to love each other but again they preach against each which makes up to develop hatred as it's the same way of the Christians to marry Moslem and yet we praise the same God.
