Requested: Long distance with Cal would be heartbreaking man
Dating Calum was one of the best things that had ever happened to you. You two shared so much love and laughs, even the other boys could see it. You two had met while he was on tour, what had turned into a one night fling, turned into a few Instagram dms, and then him flying you out to LA for the best week of your life. Soon, a beautiful relationship had blossomed.
Dating Calum also had its downsides. You two struggled to find times to FaceTime or Skype, plane tickets were expensive, and the fans didn't want to believe Cal was actually doing the whole "long distance" thing.
You find yourself smiling at Calums' face on the screen. Your schedules finally aligned for a makeshift date night. Fancy wine, a home cooked meal, candles, and even your fanciest clothes. It was a bit silly, both of you could agree, but it was a much needed break from the five minute calls you two are used to.
"Alright, baby," Calum laughs as he sits down with his bottle of wine. He has a record playing in the background on a low volume. "Let's do this."
"How was your day?" You ask, taking your first sip of wine for the night. Your body fills with warmth as the alcohol settles in your stomach.
"It was good. Duke only shit on the carpet once." You watch as Calum shoves some of his food in his mouth. "We both miss you." He says, looking into the camera with soft eyes. "It's quiet when you're not here with me."
You sigh. Your apartment was quiet too. You often found yourself sitting alone on your couch, scrolling on twitter or watching some sad romance movie that always brought tears to your eyes. "I miss both of you guys too." You give him a sad smile.
"How about you come out here soon? I can buy you a plane ticket-"
You cut Calum off as soon as he offers. "Calum, you know I don't want you spending money on me." A trip to LA sounded nice, sitting by Calum's pool and letting the California sun soak into your skin sounded magical, but you refused to let Calum pay for it.
"I know but babe, your job only pays enough to pay the bills, let me do this for both of us." He sighs. Calum was stubborn with these things. You had been saving money here and there, cutting back on the more expensive snacks you would buy and not eating out as much. You had a solid chunk of cash saved, almost enough to fly you to LA, but still not enough.
"Calum, I said no. Just leave it." You angrily took a bite of your food. A tense silence fell over the two of you.
"Can we at least-" He sets his fork down on his table.
"Calum! I'm serious, I don't wanna talk about it."
He lets out a frustrated groan. "How is this ever gonna work if you don't let me try to help us? This isn't just about you, Y/N! This a partnership! How are we supposed to keep this going if you don't even want to come see me?" His ears are tinted red with anger.
"Its not that I don't want to see you, Cal!"
"You know what, lets talk about this when we're both calmer. Text me when you're ready." Calum presses the end call button and suddenly you're left in silence.
The silence of your apartment makes you shiver. The air is still and the only thing illuminating your face are the candles you had lit before calling Cal. You finish the rest of your food and shuffle to your bathroom, the bottle of wine clutched in your hand. It doesn't take long for the loneliness to take over. Tears run down your face and small sobs shake your body as you wash your face and change into pajamas. Your sheets are cold when you crawl into your bed.
You can't help but wish the distance between you and Calum was closed, that he was here keeping his spot warm and holding you in his arms, but that wasn't going to happen anytime soon.
"All he ever did was use you. Why can't you see that?" with Calum please!!
You got it! I really liked the way this turned out :)

hey cal, can I come over?
You type the text and press send, ignoring that it’s almost 3am. He’s awake, you know he is, that’s why you’re already standing by your door with pajamas and house slippers on.
yea, door is unlocked.
Calum is used to this. One of the reasons you two got along so well is because you were both night owls and had random bouts of insomnia. Except this wasn't random. Calum knew why you were coming over. A douche bag broke your heart, and you're still trying to get over it.
Except Calum always hoped the reason would be different. That maybe this time, you’d realize that guy wasn’t worth all the tears and pain. So far, Calum’s hopes had been let down.
Tonight wasn’t any different. You still show up on his doorstep in your Disney pajama pants and a big shirt that drops to your knees. Lines are running down your cheeks that immediately give away that you cried the whole way over here.
“Come on, I already moved all of the blankets to the couch.” Calum reaches both arms out, and you willingly fall into them.
Cal has one of those couches that is huge and leather, but it’s seen many years, so it’s also soft. The sectional has a wide enough end piece that the two of you settle in side-by-side comfortably. It’s always been your favorite spot in his house.
You start to sniffle as you pull the blankets around you. “God, I’m so sick of spending my time crying. When will this all be over?”
This is where Calum has always bitten his tongue. He’s always consoled you and said what you wanted to hear, and not what you needed to hear. Tonight, he was done with that. Calum wasn’t going to sugar coat anything, and he already knew you weren’t going to like it.
“It stops when you make it stop. When you choose to stop wasting your time crying over someone who treated you like shit.”
To say your jaw dropped was an understatement. Calum usually never said much. He always let you cry and never made you feel stupid about it the next morning. You move away from him a little bit as if he physically hit you with his words.
“What? I cared about him. I loved him, Calum. That’s not going to go away easily. You’ve been there before with-”
“You can’t bring her into this. Our relationship was very different than yours and his. She loved me back, she cared for me as much as I did her. That’s not what your relationship was based on.” Calum cuts you off, his tone is angry. You knew it was too far to bring up his ex-girlfriend.
“Stop that. You don’t know what you’re talking about,” but he does. Calum is right. You’re not going to admit it, though. “He loved me. What we had was good.” You cry. You’re sitting up now, and so is he. There’s a fire in both of your eyes.
“All he ever did was use you. Why can’t you see that?” He yells. “It’s so frustrating, watching you do this to yourself. Night after night. I know it’s exhausting.”
The room falls silent for a few moments. Both of you looking only at each other.
“You’re right, Calum. It is exhausting. I know that the way he treated me was terrible, but it’s all I’ve ever known. If I don’t hold on to that, what if there’s nothing else for me? What if he was the best I could get?” Your voice is quiet now, barely above a whisper. The tears are freely falling down your cheeks and into your lap, where your eyes are now focused.
Calum is quiet too. He’s wracking his brain, trying to think of what he could say. His mother had always advised him against confessing his feelings to someone with a broken heart. It was confusing for everyone and didn’t always lead to the preferred conclusion. Except when it did. It was very rare, but Calum wanted to take his chance with you.
“He’s not. Maybe I’m not either, but I know I could do better than him. All I’m asking for here is a chance. Let go of him.” Cal sneaks one his hands into yours. You watch your hand fold itself into his like it’s not yours, but it feels so natural.
Finally, you look up at him. His brown eyes are as big as the moon, and his lips form a perfect pout. For months, you’ve come to Calum not knowing exactly what for, just that he’d make you feel like it would be okay eventually.
This wasn’t what you thought you’d been coming here for, but now you know that it is. This is what you two were meant for. Despite the tears, a smile spreads across your face.
“You know I’ve never been able to say no to you.” You joke. Calum grins.
He leans in, pressing his hands against your thighs to keep himself balanced. Your lips meet, and suddenly, it feels like your heart has been healed.

don’t forget to reblog if you liked it! feedback is always appreciated💕
so this was a request from @bde-wonho-yoongi: i'm not too sure where you want your requests sent, but i was hoping you could write a lil song fic for Calum (my whole world) based off of thier song kiss me kiss me
welp here we go guys and galllssss
Calum and you had been on three dates so far, and not to rush things, but the feelings had grown exponentially with every date you had gone on. It was nearing the end of the night, but you didn’t really feel like going home, although there you were sitting in Calum’s car as he drove you home.
“You know we don’t have to go home right now?” You glanced at him in the passenger seat, admiring how the streetlights gave him a glow that was nothing short of heavenly.
“Really?” He gaped at you, meeting your already nodding head, he took your hand in his bringing it up to his lips and leaving a soft kiss. “Well then, let’s make tonight the best of our lives.”
You chuckled at his sentimentalness, as you saw him turn on the highway prompting you to turn up whatever music was playing on the radio, raising your hands out the sunroof and letting out a whoop of laughter as he sped down the I-10.
Turning down a gravel road, you felt the car begin to slow down, signalling that you had gotten to wherever Calum had planned on taking you. Putting the car in park and popping the trunk, Calum climbed out of the car, with you following closely behind.
“Where are we?” You exclaimed glancing around noticing that you were practically in the middle of nowhere. Closing the trunk and rounding the car to meet you on your side, Calum outstretched his hand for you to take.
“Just trust me, okay?” He said, tugging you along a little path, that once you had gotten past the trees opened up to a huge clearing. Taking a few more steps onto the field, Calum dropped your hand and worked on opening up the blankets to be able to place them on the ground. Once opened, he sat down on it and motioned you to come over and join him. Kicking off your shoes, you moved to lay down beside him and face up to look at the stars. You gasped when you realized just how illuminated the sky was, Calum chuckled and scooted down the blanket to be able to mirror your position on the blanked.
“I can’t remember the last time I saw this many stars. The air is so polluted in the city.” You both spent the next few moments admiring the night sky that and just reveling in the fact that you were there. Shifting your head to look at Calum, “How’d you even find this place?”
“I accidently turned down this road a few months back and thought ‘hey why not make the most of it?’, so since then whenever shit gets hard, or the city gets too much I just come out here to get away from it. It helps me put things into perspective, like ‘wow maybe that problem really was small’, and I always go back feeling a little better than I left.” He finished and brought his hands to sit up on chest, turning his head to look at you only to be met with you already looking at him. Not knowing what came over you, you closed the distance between each other to leave a small peck on his lips deciding now, in this moment, would be the perfect time for your first kiss. Pulling away from his face slowly, you were met with his arm pulling you back again, this time with more pressure being applied, you felt Calum deepen the kiss, your hand coming to rest on the side of his face, while his moved to your waist pulling you on top of him. And that was how you found yourselves for the rest of the night wrapped up in each other’s arms, alternating between making out and just admiring the night sky until you saw the sun peeking out of from the horizon, and deciding to finally call it a night.
Stopping outside of your apartment building, Calum rounded the car to walk up with you, hand in hand you both stopped outside of your door.
“Hey, I got a question.” You glanced up at Calum who suddenly looked very nervous, but you nodded for him to go ahead. “Do you, uh, wanna make this a more permanent thing?” He questioned motioning between the two of you. Your grin widening at what he was insinuating.
“Oh my god, is Calum Hood asking me to be his girlfriend?” You smiled up at him, seeing the blush creep onto his cheeks at the words you’d spoken.
“Uh, yeah, if you’d like to.” He smiled slightly at the floor, with his free hand coming up to scratch his neck.
“Of course, I would love to, loser.” You beamed, closing the distance and looking up to leave a kiss on his lips. Pulling away, you unlocked your door, dropping your hands and looking back at him before muttering, “See you soon, boyfriend.”
Watching him grin at your words, he started to walk to the elevator before he spun back around, “Uhm, one more question.”
“Yeah?”
“Why do you only ever say see you soon, and never goodbye?”
You couldn’t stop your mouth from turning up into a big smile, one that caused your eyes to crinkle, because you hadn’t thought he’d picked up on that one minor fact about you, “Because goodbye seems permanent, and see you soon seems like see you soon.”
“Hmm,” You could see him trying to get around what you said before he spoke out, “Well then, see you soon girlfriend.”
And with that he turned around and continued his walk to the elevator leaving you grinning like an idiot in the doorway.
once again is this has typos or any errors i dont claim them
Request: Can you pls pls pls make an imagine about Calum and y/n having a hate-love relationship? Like, you like each other but act to hate each other and one night you get closer to a guy at a party and C gets jelly???? 🙏😭 I need the butterflies feeling
A/N: Hope this is kind of what you were looking for. Thank you for the request and I hope you enjoy!
“You’re wearing that” Calum asked, giving you a look of judgment.
“Yeah and you’re point is” you sass back.
“I mean it’s fine if you’re trying to get every guy to look at you like you’re a piece of meat or something” he scoffs. You respond with an eye roll and a look of annoyance towards Calum. You two had a weird relationship with one another. One day you would be best friends goofing off and making one another laugh, and the next day you were fighting about the littlest of things. All the other guys insist that you two fight because you care for one another, but you just don’t see it.
Once you all arrive at the party, the loud music instantly fills your ears. Tonight you were determined to have fun, and you weren’t going to let what Calum said to you earlier get to you. If guys were going to look at you in any way, it was going to be because you want them to.
The party was crowded and you notice only a few people you recognized. Still feeling a bit annoyed from earlier, you decide to go and get a drink to help loosen you up a bit. Once at the bar, you place your drink order, and patiently wait for the bartender to get it for you.
“Hey, I don’t think I’ve seen you here before” a smooth voice said. The man was unfamiliar, but was very attractive, so a little small talk wouldn’t hurt.
“Yeah, it’s my first time here, I just came with some friends tonight” you respond flirtatiously.
“The name is Matt, and what kind of a name does a beautiful girl like you have?”
“It’s (Y/N)” you say tucking a stray piece of hair behind your head.
“So (y/n), where are your friends? Or more specifically, is one of them your boyfriend” he asks as he approaches closer to you.
“No, no boyfriend. I’m completely unattached” you say giving a small smile. A smile on his face appears, as he realizes this is his chance to make a move. For the next hour, you and Matt were completely focused on one another. Each of you briefly explained your past dating life, hobbies, and just other random stuff to talk about. With the music playing so loudly, both of you were only inches away from one another, the heat of his breath constantly hitting your neck.
“Hey do you maybe want to get out of here so we could some somewhere to ta-“
“Hey (y/n) can I see you for a second” Calum says as grabs you by the arm and pulls you away from Matt.
“What the hell Calum, he was cute” you protest.
“Yeah and he wanted more than just to talk” he quickly responds.
“And why do you care so much all of a sudden?” you snap back.
Calum knew that no words would work to ease your annoyance. So instead he pulled his body closer to yours, leaving nearly no space between your bodies. He brought his lips to yours and moved his hand to your lower back. Although your mind was running at a thousand miles a minute, your body couldn’t pull away. It’s as if you became addicted to Calum’s kiss, and don’t want to stop for a second.
“No boyfriend huh” you hear Matt say in a pissed off tone. He walks away from the two of you, but not before giving you and Calum each a hard glare. Once he’s gone you and Calum look at each other for a moment a burst into laughter.
“I hate you” you say through laughter while playfully pushing Calum.
“Oh please you know you love me” he jokes back. “Either way, I had to show him that you’re mine and he can’t have you.”
“And what makes you think that I’m yours” you say giving a devilish grin.
“If I need to convince you so more, I gladly will” he says as he places both of his hands on your waist. He pulls you in for another kiss, only to pull away just as soon as you start to enjoy it. As his lips leave yours you let out a small sigh.
“I’m convinced” you say with a smile.
“Good, because there is way more where that came from. I wish you could understand the way you make me feel. It’s as though every time I’m around you, my heart beats at a thousand miles a minute. When I saw you earlier all I wanted to do was tell you how I feel, but instead I came off as an ass, and I’m sorry. But why don’t you say we get outta here and just hang out back at my apartment?”
“Let’s go” you say eagerly as you tug on his arm and fight through the crowd. You weren’t sure what this meant for your relationship with Calum, but right now that didn’t matter, all you wanted was to have fun tonight.
Hey love im a really shitty mood and i was wondering if you would be able to where the reader has been kind of hiding their emotions from calum and calum gets tired of their crap and snaps at them not knowing what's going on in there head?sorry thats long but thank you!
You didn’t want to worry Calum anymore than you had to. With how stressful his album launch was becoming, you decided the best thing for the two of you would be to bottle up your emotions.
After a week, Calum catches onto it. Your nightly conversations have turned dull, you no longer tell him about your days at work or school, how lunch with your friends went, if there was any drama going on in your life. Everything revolved around him now.
Another week and you were still bottling up your emotions. Most of your time was spent in bed, or on the couch, cuddling Duke or scrolling through your phone. The silence in the house disturbed Calum and he was starting to get mad that you weren’t sharing things with him anymore.
“Ok, Y/N, what gives?!” He slams his hand on the counter, causing you to jump. “Why’re you suddenly so quiet? You barely talk to me anymore! I don’t even get to cuddle you when we go to bed. It’s like we’ve turned into some old married couple that wants nothing to do with each other!”
His sudden outburst shocks you. Tears well up in your eyes. “I-i’m sorry.”
“Don’t pull the crying crap now,” Calum rolls his eyes. “So what is it? Are you seeing someone else?”
“No!” You jump to your feet. “I-i just thought that since you’re probably stressed from the album-“ You sniffle and wipe your eyes. “That you wouldn’t want to listen to my problems too. I’d just add to your stress.” Tears stain the front of the tshirt you’re wearing.
Calum can feel his heart clench. “Oh baby, no. You don’t add to my stress at all.” He walks around the counter and stands in front of you. “Can I hold you?”
You nod your head and Calum pulls you into his arms. “I love you so much. I’m sorry for freaking out, I didn’t realize you thought that way.”
“It’s okay. I’m sorry if I get tears on you.” You let out a weak laugh.
Calum smiles and rests his chin on your head. “Will you tell me about what’s been going on in your life the last few weeks? I feel like I need some updates on all the drama.”
hiii it’s me again (the one who sent an ask about blond curly cal n an ask where i said “here to fuck up ur morning”),, this time, you’re at a party hosted by a mutual friend. you and cal are introduced by said friend. at the end of the night, he asks for your number. come to find out, you both stay over because you’re tipsy. oh looky there, he’s shirtless in the living room about to sleep on the couch. he catches u staring and says “sleep tight” with a wink. //👩🏼🚀
im just gonna apologize that it took so long omg
lets just say that y’all were getting real cozy the entire night, you went everywhere with him, and he went everywhere with you. y’all are talking about anything and everything, while drinking a little too much but in the words of luke hemmings “we’re having fun”. the nights winding down, and you both see that its already 3 in the morning so you both decide to call it a night but not before exchanging numbers, you’re going to leave but first you have to say bye to the mutual friend because it’s only customary.
“wait how much did y’all have to drink?” your friend asks narrowing their eyes at the both of you. you both just turn to each other and giggle, because damn did you not realize just how much you drank. “that’s it, you’re both staying here, hand over the keys.”
you both hand them over begrudgingly, because your bed sounds so good. right now.
“i’ll take the couch, you can take the guest bedroom.” calum tells you, when you’ve both left your friend.
“ooo a gentleman.” to which he just chuckles, and turns on his heels to make his way there.
“goodnight y/n.” and with that you’re making your way to the guest room, and grabbing some clothes from the host, which lo and behold is just a big t-shirt (oof the cliche)
you try to get comfortable in bed, but realize you’re thirsty and water would really help the hangover you know you’re going to have in the morning. so you tip toe out of the room and down to the kitchen, which has an island that looks out on the living room, and there in all his shirtless glory is calum just watching tv, yet he can’t see you just yet.
you make some noise with the cupboards and the sink, which alert him and he walks over, his jeans are unbelted and sitting pretty low on his hips, and you don’t realize you’re staring until the water is spilling over your glass. you curse under your breath, and look up him with his eyebrow cocked. oh you definitely know he caught you staring. you bring up the water to take a sip and hide the blush beginning to form on your cheeks, and mumble a goodnight but not before catching him throwing a wink at you and a quick
here to fuck up your morning! you and cal had always had a crush on one another, but never told one another for fear of rejection. one evening as you were going out with the boys and gfs to a fancy restaurant, you accidentally tell calum he looked gorgeous. like breathy, quite, ‘i’m in love with you’ tone. he responds by tucking your hair behind your ear, saying “you’ve always been beautiful to me” and asking to kiss your cheek.
o yes fuck up my morning
but like y’all spend the entire dinner just stealing glances at each other and not giving two shits if you get caught by the other, because you both basically just admitted your feelings to each other. all the boys came with their gfs and you came with cal, so at the end of the night when everyone is saying goodbye and walking back to their cars, you walk back with cal trailing just a little bit behind you. and as you go to round his car, you feel him pull you back into his chest and next thing you know you”r kissing him, and you may have imagined it 5 million times before but it’s better than you could EVER imagine. and as you pull apart he whispers “i love you too.” and you just have the biggest shit eating grin because the boy you love, loves you back.
and uGH i didnt need this thIS EARLY (if you couldnt tell my fav tropes are best friends to lovers and enemies to lovers)
okay so what if you and cal are like really close friends who accidentally started dating at some point, not too sure of how it happened but it did and you both just never mentioned your relationship to anyone?? and then the guys find out
so you were best friends with all the guys, but somehow you were always the closest to calum. y’all always gravitated towards each other, and while you were barely touchy with other people that’s just how your friendship was. someone’s hand was always wrapped around the others waist, and forehead kisses were always in extra supply. and that worked for both of you, until one drunken night where you kissed and decided to see where that could go. fast forward three months, and you were happily dating but the guys didn’t know yet. it wasn’t that you guys were trying to hide it there was just never a time to bring it up, and since neither of you were big on PDA, and they knew the type of friendship you had so they didn’t think anything of it.
so there you were, making out on calum’s couch waiting for the rest of them to show up for your weekly movie night, and maybe the time had gotten the best of you because
“What the fuck?” You both turned to look at the boys standing there with shocked yet slightly amused looks on their face. Both of your faces mirrored each other, widen eyes and swollen lips. Scrambling out from under him you moved to sit next to him on the couch.
“Uhm, since when is this a thing?” Michael asked moving his hand between the two of you.
“Since like three months.” Calum replied sheepishly, while rubbing the back of his neck.
“You owe me thirty bucks Ash.” Luke exclaimed, while walking to the kitchen to set down the take out.
“You guys fucking bet that we would get together?” Now it was your turn to ask the questions.
“Yeah, I said y’all were already together, Ash said another two months, and Michael was indifferent. Hence I am now thirty bucks richer.” Luke said while putting out the plates for the food.
“It was about fucking time, I couldn’t take y’all undressing each other in public anymore.” Ash told the group while bringing over the food, earning a chorus of laughter from the group. You looked over at Calum who was already beaming at you, and you just waltzed over to him placing a quick peck on his lips.
“Yeah not weird whatsoever.” Michael chuckled and just like that the awkwardness that never really came, had gone, and you settled into your old habits and everything was okay since you had your best mates and boyfriend all together.
