Adventure Travel Journal: Valley of Fire Campground - Nevada
An interesting place to visit; Valley of Fire State Park is a great winter destination if you don’t mind a little cold. Once darkness falls and into the early morning, temperatures can get pretty chilly, but that shouldn’t deter you. But by mid-morning it will be warm enough to be in a t-shirt.
These pictures were taken in January of 2015 and as you can see it is beautiful as could be (I don’t want to give too much away with my pictures). The campground was quiet and peaceful, a few friendly neighbors were scattered around the grounds. There are some great hiking trails scattered around nearby, and a short drive around the canyon will lead you other points of interest where you can hike and see things like pictographs, historic landmarks and beautiful patterns in the bright red Aztec sandstone.
Be sure to catch the sunrise and sunset while staying here, it truly is a Valley of Fire!
