Scam?! ⚠️ A few months ago, I discovered that Marcus Lemonis holds #CampingWorld RV giveaways on his Twitter page regularly. I was amazed by his generosity… helping people who can’t afford to pay for a new RV. I’ve watched his Twitter page, as well as Camping World’s Twitter page, like a hawk since then… spending many hours thinking of clever responses, creating graphics, searching for photos, and ensuring that I follow the rules in my entries. These giveaways usually require entrants to distinguish themselves above the other entrants.
I grew skeptical when he didn’t announce a winner for a giveaway that he posted on his Twitter page on June 24th. (1st Screenshot Below) I’ve attempted to get answers through numerous tweets, messages and emails to him and Camping World, to no avail. The only answer I received was from the Camping World account informing me that he hadn’t selected a winner.
I’ve also been reading most of the entries for each giveaway. Either someone is randomly selecting the winners, or there’s something nefarious in the selection process. If winners are randomly selected, fine, but be clear about it so entrants don’t waste time and effort in attempt to stand out above the rest.
In my most recent entry, I stated that I would give the RV to Kentucky flood victims through the Governor of Kentucky if I won. I also read numerous entries by others far more deserving of the winner. (2nd Screenshot Below) This, in my opinion, is despicable.
I guess most people just stop entering and forget about it when they figure it out. I’m not most people.
