a total flirt always complimenting you on everything, fawning over every little thing you do. “you just look so pretty,” actively losing his cool if you match his freak. Loves compliments but when they come from you it’s like he can’t breathe, wanting you to repeat them over and over again, “Really? You think I did a good job?” he’s always pushing himself to his limits but after long nights and even longer practices he’s a limp mess needing to be held and cuddled. Teasing you about everything until he’s feeling soft and just pops up with the constant, “You’re so nice,” “You’re so good to me,” shy little thank you’s thrown out after every little thing you do for him.

loves a skincare night, will let you spend as much time as you want putting absolutely anything on his face just because you said it would make him have glass skin. Will sit back with his hands folded over his stomach watching the tv as stiff as a board with a sheet mask on. he just gets your sense of humor, smiling and showing his cute teeth off whenever you tell a joke even if it’s small. Tries to stay stoic when you’re around but is a giddy mess as soon as you enter the room. Loves physical touch! Needs to have at least his knee touching yours when you sit at tables, his shoe constantly tapping yours.

I said it before but kai and you cuddled up on his bed of plushies watching slime asmr. He loves to lay his face against your hair. He loves it when you trace the line of his nose, ending right on his little freckle with a tap. He’s so shy sometimes it hurts but it’s because he’s so in love he’s scared you’ll get freaked out (even if you told him you won’t and you feel the same way.) he’s very peculiar about who plays what characters in video games. Thinks they say a lot about a person and always tries to set you up as the cutest character in the game when he has the chance.

-Princess!reader and Butler!Kai have been assigned together for years, picking up a routine that both of you knew by heart. Enjoying the monotony of your shared company. Every morning sharing tea with you in your rooms, sleep still in your eyes as he shares the gossip about the other servants. The warmth of your perfectly done-up cup held in your palms, the right amount of cream and sugar always the same. 

Kai follows you around in the gardens, listening to you go on and on about flowers and the weather as if he hasn't had this same conversation before. Attentively answering with hums of acknowledgment to keep you going. Even when it rains, holding out the umbrella for the both of you, trying to convince you two to spend the day in the library. 

You spent most of your time in his company, his duty to follow your every command, and you spent most of your time trying to convince him to have a seat. “Just one game, please,” the chess board was already set up and ready. It wasn't uncommon that you asked him to play, but it was frowned upon to be distracted even at your wish. But you hated to sit and read alone, the library was too big and silent to sit with someone's eyes on you instead of looking over a book like you were. 

“Only one princess, I can't get caught again,” his slim fingers tugging off his gloves to place neatly at the edge of the game table. 

“Well play like you mean it and don't let me win just because,” and he would nod, dark hair falling on his brow, a soft smile on his lips. “Of course, princess,” 

But he never stopped after one, just like when he said he would only spend one day reading with you, sitting at the other end of the decadent embroidered couch, watching you over the edge of the book you had picked for him. Taking breaks to get you your afternoon tea and bring you the daily letters. 

Joining you on days you went to the market, carrying your basket in the crook of his elbow. Trying to find the perfect bouquet of flowers for display in your rooms, you examine each one asking Kai for his opinion, lifting them to his nose for him to catch the sweet scent. 

And on the trip home he would hold them in his lap for you, helping you find the perfect spot to set them up on your tea table. And if it was late enough, late to the point that the clock had hit past his time to leave you for the night, you would ask him to say. The lamps lit and low, voice soft enough to match how shy you felt. In the light of day, your hand in his gloved one as he helped you down the stairs, you two could be overlooked, but here in your rooms, the dark settling in it felt like a secret. “Kai…could you help me with the buttons of my dress?” 

His gentle hands worked over the fabric, nimble fingers taking their time, steadily unbuttoning every last one. Helping Take off your necklace just as he did with helping you put it on every morning. His breath ghosted over the back of your neck like a caress, a promise of more.

Drummer Kai who looks up at you giving him a water bottle, upset over the fact he’s messed up, not saying a word as he drinks your offering. You watch the way his throat bobs as he swallows before he wipes at his mouth, brows still set in a scowl as he reaches out for another drumstick.

Drummer Kai who lets you sit in his lap as a distraction, holds your hands and guides you through a simple beat. Will twirl the sticks between his fingers to impress you. Loves the way you come up behind him fanning at his feverish skin, wiping away the sweat on his brow with a towel.

It's the coziest time of the year for your shared apartment. Pulling out the accumulated Christmas decorations the three of you have collected over the years of spending the holiday together. Planning out exactly what Christmas pajamas the three of you will order, knowing that yeonjun in particular loves to wear the pants year round to bed so the decision is very serious. 

The three of you mutually agree to try and go as long as you can without turning the heater on fully, keeping it just warm enough so that you won't freeze but you won't feel smothered in heat when the fireplace is burning. But it's mostly an excuse to cuddle, “I'm so cold,” yeonjun will pout even sitting right on the floor next to the heat, arms open and waiting for you. The bed and couch decked out in all the holiday throw pillows and blankets. Wrapping up together under them, sandwiched between the two of them in bed, warming up cold feet under your flannel sheets. 

Every year you three buy a gingerbread house and struggle to put it together, frosting-covered fingerprints decorating all of your cheeks, and tips of your noses. Warmed hot chocolate dotted with little marshmallows, passed around every time you three sit to watch silly holiday movies on the tv. Playing classics and the cheesy hallmark movies that huening says he doesn't like but always finds himself smiling over. “He was a prince the whole time!” “Kai this is basically the same plot as the last one. How did you not see it coming?” “I was distracted by the cute romance,” 

The three of you trying to bake cookies, a tradition you uphold to give them out to your friends. And one batch is always somehow burned and needs to be redone after you all get distracted. But it's hard to listen to the timer when you're singing Christmas songs, dancing around the kitchen in your socked feet, slipping on the spilled flour that somehow got everywhere. Giggling when you pull out the forgotten sheet pan to see that the dough had spread your little sugar cookie people into burnt-edged blobs. 

Decorating the cookies that turned out well, Kai and yeonjun always make cookies of each other and ask you to judge who did better. Sprinkles are just everywhere by the end of the night. Yeonjun always swipes his frosting covered thumb over your bottom lip just to say, “Oh you've got a little something right there, let me get it for you,” kissing away sweetness. Kai smiles so wide when you dot every freckle on his face with a spot of frosting just to kiss it all away.

barefaced sleepy yeonjun who can hardly keep his eyes open as soon as he wakes up. fumbling to get everything ready for when you wake up. sleepily humming to himself as he flips the pancakes in the pan, preparing breakfast. only once he’s done and sees how comfortable you look in bed he has to climb back in. snuggling back into the warm spot he left from earlier, not caring to fall back asleep with the suns already peaking through the curtains not when he’s this comfortable.

i've just finished eating, and my tummy is happy in a big way lol and i keep on thinking about the way yeonjun loves kai's tummy, and like...

extra: you've just started dating, so he's not yet too touchy when it comes to some places. but you're on your period with uncomfortable feeling in your tummy and kinda clingy, so you shyly ask him to put his hand on your lower stomach to warm it (under clothes obviously), and he's happy to help, but you almost regret it the moment he puts his hand there and he's basically shining at the discovery of your soft tummy (because yeah, well, most of the women have softer lower stomach no matter the weight) and he's like "oh my god have i found a hidden treasure? oh my god— i'm never telling anyone that. i'm keeping that one to myself—" and you're just dying of embarrassment (good thing? period cramps more or less forgotten)

there is nothing more comfoting than having a hand right over your lower stomach when you're cramping- the extra warmth sinking into your skin, and even the light massage of your their fingers pressing into your soft flesh to try and counteract the pain. best when they sppon you from behind and make sure to keep their face tucked into your neck, their laugh on your back, whispers on your skin. yeonjun and beomgyu specifically would be so into tummy love and I stand by this, honestly all the members but maybe im bias lmao- but beomgyu would always need his hand on you period or not I think he’s clingy, yeonjun is also handsy but in a different way, more playful instead of cuddly but like still cuddly I don't know how to explain myself lol-

i’m a firm believer this is yeonjun core-

he would so use any excuse to cheer you on even over the smallest things. makes sure you know how much he appreciates your hard work even if it’s not for him but for yourself. calls you a good girl and praises you for being good to him as if you would do anything different. he will get flustered when you praise him right back, can’t take a compliment from you to save his life. having to repeat yourself over and over, “i’m so proud of you, you’re doing such a good job,” and he will just respond with a “really?” as if you hadn’t said it enough.
