Real happy with my jog into work today. The temperature was in the high teens, with the occasional drop of rain. I got hot, and sweat a ton, but that is normal for me. Happy with my pace as well. Focussed on slowing down to between 6:15 and 6:30, and ended up at 6:14. Real happy in the end. Continued with my longer 6km (ish) route. Has me along the Lac des Fees parkway longer and less distance (by about 1 km) in traffic. #gottarun #running #runnersofinstagram #ottawarunners #sweat #canadaarmyrun #noordinaryrace
Nice jog on the way home. Felt a bit sluggish, but uphill with laptop and a belly full of pop and chips will do that to you. Still, happy with the result, although my pace was not as steady as I would have liked. Oh well, even a crappy run is better than no run. Beautiful run in this morning. A bit chilly at the start (5C) but it got real comfortable about 1km in. Tried a different route, that had some pluses and minuses. Plus-Beautiful scenery along the Lac des Fees parkway. Plus-No stop signs or intersections to deal with Minus-Crazy cyclists who think they own the pathway Minus-Canada geese. They be mean and scary yo!! In the end, I am not sure which route I will take. I will play it by ear as I get to the split point. Awesome run today. Slowly but surely I am removing things from my jogging bag. I pushed the pace a little today, and I have that nice soreness in my thighs that, for me, is the sign of a good workout. Not many people in @canadaarmyrun gear, only 2 other people. I did find that, compared to non-Army Run People, Army Run folks are WAY more likely to wave or nod their head when you pass by. #running #canadaarmyrun #ottawa
