Day 21. Today is the day, folks! Get out and vote!
Be like me and GO VOTE! If you couldn't get to the early polls go vote October 21st! There is very little excuse not to. Let's not make the baby boomer generation the highest voter turnout again. Share your voice! 🇨🇦📣🗳 #canada #elxn43 #canadaelection2019 #election2019 #vote #canadavotes https://www.instagram.com/p/B3n8VCpBOnT/?igshid=fybewq2a02s7
Canadian Federal Election 2019
Voting is very important. Not only is a chance for citizens to express their opinions about who they want to call the shots regarding their lives, but it shows that people care about what happens in their country. I firmly believe, if you can vote, that everyone should vote. It is a right and a privilege of a democratic nation and there are some places on the planet, like North Korea, where democracy doesn't exist. There are tons of people who would love to be able to vote in certain parts of the world, and yet some people here just don't care enough about politics to go and vote in our democratic society. I find that very disappointing. It is true that sometimes people feel like there isn't any good choice among the candidates, or they feel like they are all corrupt, but they can go and abstain by not marking the ballot to convey the message that they don't like any of the choices. I voted, and I'm proud of that. The Liberal party is my political party, and they won a minority government. But the country is seriously divided. Alberta wants to separate from Canada because they are an oil province and they are anti the environment, and the Liberals are slowing going to phase out oil. Quebec wants to separate because they want to preserve their French language and culture. So, Canada is so far from being united, right now. I just hope that Justin Trudeau will listen more this time, as the Prime Minister and will show more humility. He has the chance to do things better this time. The people have spoken. That is literally what democracy is about; the voice of the people. God bless Canada, and may our leader be able to bring the country together at this divided time. Spread the Love. 🙏🏼❤🇨🇦😘
