The monument is repugnant have no doubt about that, but for everyone getting really angry, it’s not a municipal, provincial or national monument. It was erected in private land by private citizens. It was in no way erected by the Canadian government or the government of Ontario.

So before you get really angry about the Canadian government having an ss memorial, please read this. It’s no different then the morons who have confederate flags hanging in their windows. It’s people doing repugnant things in their own personal spaces. Yes it’s awful and heinous but it’s not a national monument like I’ve seen everyone implying.
