This was a shelf turd around 2015 or so. 21 years old Canadian Rye at 60-62 bucks. Just reflecting on short term memory of hype or age & don't get started on proof if you haven't tasted this .. “Don’t knock it ‘till you try it” I tried it. I’m knocking it. Just not for me. Port forward with Canadian rye in the background. Didn’t get much of the American rye at all. Sweet and syrupy. Thought it might be fun to try as a dessert drink with some medjool dates, walnuts, and dried cranberries. Not terrible but just not what I would want it to be. Wished it was much more American forward, cut out the Canadian juice, lower the port (or leave it the same as the American rye would be much more pronounced than the Canadian stuff naturally).
