Emotional transference was one of the main reasons I switch to vegan. Every agricultural animal goes through a literal hell from birth to the dinner plate. They are enslaved and imprisoned in containers with barely enough room to move (cows, pigs, chickens). They are brutalized, prodded with pitchforks, beaten, kicked, humiliated, and sexually violated (dairy cows). Calves are ripped from their mothers as soon as they are born to prevent the calf from mother’s milk, traumatizing both mother and calf. Young calves are slaughtered soon after birth. When mother cows can no longer continue deal with the constant strain of forced impregnation, they cease being any value to the meat and dairy industry, so they too are slaughtered as if they hold no value as sentient beings. Agricultural Animals feel love, joy, fear & pain. Which means they’re as sentient as your cat or dog. They don’t have any laws protecting them however. They are also denied basic veterinary care. Broken bones, festering sores and disease from standing in feces their entire lives is unconscionable. If a neighbor’s dog was being treated this way, we’d call the police. Harming sensitive, voiceless, peaceful and vulnerable animals is cruel and wrong. Legal doesn’t always mean right. Some animals are thrown around like sacks of potatoes and kicked as if they have no feelings at all (pigs, lambs). All of this horror and trauma is recorded in the living cells which ends up on your plate. If you are a highly sensitive person like me (HSP), this creates a hurdle of emotional problems. As our world progresses into the 21st century and beyond, it’s come time to rethink many of the things we simply do out of habit, justifying it because those in our generational lineage have done it for lifetimes. A 56 billion carnage of slaughtered sentient beings per year from the agricultural animals trade is not only unjustifiable but shows an incredible deficit in consciousness, empathy and compassion. That people get very angry and defensive when vegans mention a death toll or that animals can feel grief, depression, ptsd and emotional trauma speaks volumes to the systemic trend of the entitled narcissism of man and the ongoing death of empathic consciousness, emotional depth, higher reasoning, compassion and empathic intelligence in man. As a species, we were meant to soar and evolve and not hide behind ethical inconsistencies or led by taste pleasure to define who gets to live and die. Animals are placed under our protection and care not to abuse, exploit or have our way with them but under the terms of dominion to be under our care as harmless, vulnerable and helpless sentient beings who have as much right to be here and live a full rich life as your dog or cat. Like your pets, agricultural animals have proven time and again that they are sentient beings - as sentient as your pets. We have laws protecting your pets. We have no such laws protecting agricultural animals who represent the horrifying examples of the unconsciousness and heartlessness of man in daily abuses, enslavement and exploitation of animals whose only crime was to dare to be born in this world as a calf, a pig, a chicken, a lamb or fish whose trillions of cries of anguish, horror and suffering elicits no mercy from those we pay to do this to them. In a world where people could care less, be that shining bright light who couldn’t care more. Life is asking us to evolve on every level. Killing for food is no longer relevant in modern society yet continues out of blind habit and our own unwillingness to see how complicit we’ve become to funding the most violent and far reaching animal holocaust and genocide in the history of man. #veganfacts #govegan #vegansofig #cancelanimalag

I think it’s safe to say that many vegans are at the breaking point of trying to “respect the personal decisions” of meat eaters who continue fund a multibillion dollar money making enterprise who slaughters 56 billion animals per year with glee for your taste pleasure. Meat eaters expect us to respect their decision to continue to fund the exploitation, punching, kicking, stabbing, harming, mutilating, raping, traumatizing and mass slaughter of billions of animals.
