Only comedians understand (especially LA comics) how hard it is to get stage time to work on our craft. I can’t count how many hours we wait around, for sometimes just 3 minutes of stage time in front of 5 people. So, I can’t express how utterly grateful and honored I am to become a paid regular at The Comedy Store. Yes, it’s pretty fucking cool to get your name on the wall, surrounded by your comedic idols. And a parking spot on Sunset Blvd. is a gift in itself, but most importantly, you get stage time in front of REAL crowds and a place to work out regularly, which as a comedian, is priceless. I’m genuinely excited and anxious to see how much more I develop and grow because of this opportunity. Thank you, to everyone who has supported me and said kind words to me today. This day has been amazing. I know in the grand scheme of things, this is nothing. There are much more important issues going on in the world and in this country, but it’s little wins like this that keep each of us motivated to want to make everything else around us better. All I’ve ever wanted was to make people laugh and I’m getting to do that and that’s pretty awesome. But to get people to laugh, you need to be heard. Thank you, Comedy Store for allowing people to hear me because I have a lot more I need to say.
