Anyone out there? Hello hello? Hi! Nice to meet you, I'm the author and artist of an (hopefully. maybe. someday.) upcoming webcomic, Candlewood! It's been a project I've been working on for years, but motivation has been low. I hope that starting a blog will be a good way to keep the ideas fresh and maybe gather some future readers! I'm so excited to share my work. This first post will just be the intro to myself and to my project, thanks for sticking around :D Who is the author? My name will remain a secret, but I can happily provide some info and fun facts. - I'm 19 years old - She/They Pronouns - ADHD and Anxiety - I'm majoring in Creative Writing and minoring in Horticulture and Folklore. I don't consider myself an amazing writer, but that's what the classes are for, I'm always looking to improve! - My favorite season is Autumn - My favorite thing ever is Gravity Falls, hmu if you wanna talk lore - Ace Lesbian with a loving gf <3 - D&D player of four years, still don't understand the mechanics - Constantly dyed hair. I can't even look at myself with my natural hair color, who even is that. What is Candlewood about?

Candlewood, at its heart, is a story about learning to trust others, how to let go, and family both blood or not.

It is ALSO about ghost hunting, witches, demons, Halloween, family curses, and a group of queer kids in the small New England town of Candlewood investigating a mystery from way back in the day. When I was in 5th grade I used my Aunts gold hair spray to color my hair because I trying to look cute for this guy named Christian aka Marvin that I had a crush on ever since I was in 3rd grade; I always saw him around our APT complex but never knew his name because we didn’t go to the same School at that point. I was soo obsessed with him & when my school “Brodnicki" changed districts after I was leaving 4th grade 97’; I went over to Wilkins eventually ending up in the same class with him!!! He was, I believe 2yrs ahead of me but held back… I bonded with him a lot but come to find out he was an a$$hole. He took my keychain of like 10 brand new Gigapets! I dropped my wallet in the classroom & he took $60 I had saved up & he got me written up for popping this girls “Crystal Guyton” bra. My crush on him lasted until 7th grade & I eventually got over him. But Anyway… I probably looked a mess with this in my hair but I thought I looked good lol & the smell it had was strong kinda like metal OMG.
