(1/x) It could very well be that the Innocence is trying to become human. Krory's Innocence is in his blood and took on his form. They are one inseperable entity. Tsukikami took on Timothy's (older) form. Dark Boots and Mugen entered the bodies of their hosts and fused with some of their blood. Crowned Clown fused with Allen's flesh, covered the wounds he acquired but it maybe didn't take human form because Allen loathes himself, unable to forgive himself for what happened.
(2/x) When he woke up after his second meeting with Tyki he didn't cry for him almost dying, he cried because he survived and didn't know how he could live on without a justification. When Thread came he was begging Bak to let him go to his certain death and he called himself a weapon. He was ready to fight alone, even without a weapon. But Crowned Clown only returned when he realised he wanted to live, out of obligation to protect humans and Akuma.
(3/x) him wanting to live was good enough that time, it took him far, but when the 14th came up and negative emotions returned Allen hit a plato. Only now he got to the point where he wants to live because he wants to be with loved ones. Crowned Clown changed after Apocryphos touched it and with Allen's desire to live it may evolve to become more human. As for why it sticks to Allen, it could be because Allen grew to love Crowned Clown for giving him the power to protect what is important to him.

That’s a very good interpretation! :O
I could see it yeah that the innocence wants to be more human - a bit like we’re seeing too that the more the Akuma evolves past the human soul the more humanoid they are like- i could see some sort of things there, of like.. the Dark matter consuming the soul to get a human body, and the innocence “consuming the body” to develop a soul perhaps? The two things could work in a way to compliment each other. (then again the akuma do need a body and the innocence do need the exorcist’s will to weild it - but it seems to be on a lesser extend than the other thing.)
Besides whenever it *wants* to be human or not there could be things to argue that the further it fuzes with the exorcists the more humanity has an impact on them - which makes me think i could definitly see CC having been a parasite type for someone else before and having already developped itself in an exorcist body enough for it to be far more aware how to work with an host in a way say, crystal types don’t (especially since the two crystal types we know had rejected their hosts at some point before fuzing.)
And then we can wonder which one came first, wanting to be human, or the little bit of humanity sneaking in the innocence making them want to be human and else - i think what amazes me with that idea though is that it would change completely the rapport of innocence with “God” for all that matters - because it would seem to stray away from its original purpose to behave as such and if Apocryphos is that purpose at its purest at least CC has shown a drastic different approach to said purpose.
Anyway aside from that I agree with how also the innocence has evolved and it is pretty interesting indeed CC only evolved when Allen was ready to live for the people he loved instead of just being a human weapon - which shows already that CC has more of Allen’s wellbeing in mind than some innocences we might have seen. And for CC not taking human form for Allen’s sake, i could see that too since the form CC took does echo both the Clown persona (so that Allen directly associate to Mana) and the Earl’s suit (important for Allen’s developpment and unknowingly to Allen, associated to Mana), it was indeed a way to reflect Allen’s core identity and comfort zone rather than having him face a version of himself he might hate. For Allen, this is more comforting than being human in a sense.
And indeed for after Apo... Things are probably going to evolve more now. I think what worries me as of now is also the fact that we have seen Nea being able to at least try to use CC without CC to reject him - despite it seeming distored.I would be more inclined to believe CC’s loyalty for Allen is just /that hard/ that CC allows Nea to use it with bareteeth hoping Allen to come back soon enough, rather than it playing a double role. But who knows what CC wants at this point...
As for what it sticks to Allen, i’d be inclined to agree with you yeah. If CC does indeed get more human i think Allen kinda shows this best of humanity, the thing worth protecting, and he’s probably the only exorcist that extend all his compassion to both human and akuma anyway- it could mean a lot for the innocence and especially one that had been around for a while perhaps. I could see that, definitly.
So yeah i’m inclined to agree with what you say :O Thanks for sharing it there!! That’s fascinating <3
