"I hear you're the guy that knows something about canes." She is here. Questions need not be asked. She did this sometimes; Appeared without warning. All considered, his doors were intact which is more than some could say about her visitations.

"Ohh honey you came to the right man, What do you need to know? And do you need measurements?" He smiled and summoned a tape measure from thin air. He wasn't at all jostled by the sudden appearence Irma did that all the time. "Do you have a preference for material? Magical or non?"

Ok it was my first day with the cane! It was a short school day and I actually didn’t need to do that much walking so I don’t know for sure, but I think it helped! I’m a little shaky today, maybe because I had a bit of anxiety going in. Anyways, it was nice! Not too many comments right now so that’s nice too.

I did hurt my hand a little because I didn’t know how much pressure to apply but I think I have the hang of it now. Tomorrow, I will definitely be walking a lot more and possibly taking the big staircase up to level 3 (I don’t have a doctors note yet so I don’t think I’m allowed on the elevators) so I’ll see how it goes.

Being 19 and using a cane in Florida is a fucking nightmare btw, not in the way you think though

Old people giving you the dirtiest looks ever for needing a mobility aid that isn't a wheelchair, also when some tells me that I'm too young for one as if they're like an expert

I talk a lot about how awesome canes are for a person who’s too embarrassed to use hers in public.

I'm worried about using the cane in public tho, especially in places I've been before because like 1) I don't need it all the time, just when my leg/s are in a lot of pain and 2) people loveeee to ask you why you need a cane and I'd rather not explain to people why I use one/have to explain to people who already know me why I'm suddenly using a cane.

I can maybe modify my umbrella a little bit to be a "discreet" cane but that will only take me through winter.
