not-fun suggested I play this game, called "Does Canned Rice Dream Of A Napkin Heap?" I found it pretty fun! Here's a story about my dog, Ben, going off into outer space. I'll put the full story beneath a readmore, if you wish to read it!

Ben's Space Adventure A story where people and animals make friends

This happened to someone I know - Ben, a friendly character, arrived on the scene. Ben's spaceship, part of the scenery, arrived on the scene. By the way, this takes place in Outer space. Ben said, "I want to go on a journey to outer space!"" (It was just a thing Ben said.) Ben walked to Ben's spaceship and climbed in. (That was legal.) Ben's spaceship launched off to a distanct galaxy (Ben's spaceship felt happy about that.) An asteroid belt arrived at Outer space. An asteroid belt showed up out of nowhere (It was very exciting!) Ben's spaceship said, "WARNING: ASTEROID BELT APPROACHING"" Ben told his spaceship to blast the asteroid belt with lasers! (It wasn't really a big thing.) Ben's spaceship fired its lasers at the asteroid belt (It was very exciting!) An asteroid belt left Outer space. A space station, part of the scenery, arrived at Outer space. (This story has important non-organics, like A space station.) Ben's spaceship said, "Space station detected in range."" (That was fine to say.) Ben ordered his spaceship to commence docking (That was legal.) A space station said, "Docking request accepted, please wait."" (That was fine to say.) Ben's spaceship entered the station and landed. Ben walked out of his spaceship and looked around the station. (It wasn't really a big thing.) The station owner, an alien, arrived at Outer space. The station owner greeted Ben happily, and welcomed him on board Ben said, "Have you any snacks at this station?"" (That was a nice thing for Ben to say.) The station owner said, "Yes, how many would you like?"" (That was fine to say.) Ben said, "As many as it'll take to last me to the next station!"" (That could have offended.) The station owner said, "Sure, here you go. That'll be 100,000 credits."" (Conflict is just around the corner!) Ben decided he wasn't going to pay for the snacks (It was very exciting!) A pile of snacks, an animal, arrived at Outer space. Ben took the pile of snacks and stashed it on his ship. (That was illegal.) The station owner said, "Hey, you haven't paid for those yet!"" A pile of snacks was moved onto Ben's spaceship, regardless of the lack of payment. The station owner yelled at Ben and gave chase! (That was legal.) Ben hurried back onto his spaceship and took off!" Ben's spaceship blasted off into the stars, another robbery completed! (That was illegal.) Ben's spaceship just left. Ben left Outer space. The station owner cursed Ben's name, and hired some mercenaries to chase him! (It was very exciting!) THE END The point I was making is dogs will steal just about anything you offer them.

A barfight in Maine A story in which disgusting meatbags are harmed

This happened a few years ago - This story takes place in a bar in Maine, a place on Quaoar. John Smith, a friendly character, arrived at a bar in Maine. Dances with Wolves, a robot, arrived at a bar in Maine. The barkeep, an alien, arrived at a bar in Maine. Beer, part of the scenery, arrived at a bar in Maine. John Smith drank a bunch of beer (John Smith felt happy about that.) Beer was taken by someone. Dances with Wolves said, "That was my beer, you imbicile" (That was a mean thing for Dances with Wolves to say.) Dances with Wolves said, "I will hurt you" (That could have offended.) John Smith stood up John Smith felt righteously angry and wanted revenge about that. John Smith punched Dances with Wolves (It was very exciting!) Dances with Wolves grabbed a knife to stab John Smith (That... may have been illegal.) The barkeep said, "Cut it out or you two will be out on the street!" Beer, a friendly character, arrived at a bar in Maine. John Smith grabs beer and throws it at Dances with Wolves (John Smith felt unhappy about that.) Dances with Wolves fell down (It was very exciting!) Beer left a bar in Maine. The barkeep kicked them out and called paramedics (The barkeep felt unhappy about that.) Elsewhere, at Outside a bar in maine... Dances with Wolves, a friendly character, arrived at Outside a bar in maine. Paramedics, a robot, arrived at Outside a bar in maine. John Smith, a human, arrived at Outside a bar in maine. Paramedics tended to Dances with Wolves (That was legal.) Dances with Wolves said, "thank you" (That was a nice thing for Dances with Wolves to say.) Dances with Wolves attacked John Smith Dances with Wolves felt avenged about that. John Smith died (That... may have been illegal.) John Smith was murdered. Paramedics called the cops (That was legal.) Dances with Wolves went to jail. Elsewhere, at Courtroom, a place on Quaoar... A judge, an animal, arrived at Courtroom. Dances with Wolves arrived at Courtroom. A judge said, "I sentence Dances with WOlves to a life of hard labor." (That could have offended.) (But it actually made someone happy!) THE END The moral of the story is you can't trust the system, man!

Humble Waiterbot:  GUESTS NEVER ASK

(spumante, Limoncello, Canton)

If Distinguished Human Guest were to ask Humble Waiterbot about its favorite drink, Humble Waiterbot would say that it enjoys four and a half ounces of spumante stirred with an ounce of Canton and an ounce of Limoncello (which Humble Waiterbot carefully imported before the trade embargo and keeps behind the bar).  

But Distinguished Human Guest does not ask Humble Waiterbot.  Guests never ask.  That is why they must do dishes.

The Time Spirited Characters Made Canned Rice Drinks

A story at a lawfully colonized and regulated locale

Once upon a time - Spirited Characters, a human, arrived on the scene. Spirited Characters said, "You guys should check out this awesome storytelling widget called 'Does Canned Rice Dream of a Napkin Heap'!" (That could have offended.) (But it actually made someone happy!) Awesome tumblr users like you! arrived on the scene. Awesome tumblr users like you! went over to the antholojam page and checked it out. (That was legal.) Awesome tumblr users like you! said, "You mean I can tell a story about anything I want?" (That was fine to say.) Spirited Characters said, "You totally can!  If the characters in the game like your story, they pay for your drinks!" (That was a nice thing for Spirited Characters to say.) Awesome tumblr users like you! liked drinks and also characters. (It was very exciting!) Spirited Characters had so much fun with Canned Rice that they also made drinks for all of the characters--the Storyteller (who tells the story), Laika (a space dog), Daisy (a murderous robot), Quirk (a murderous not-robot), Officer Grey (a lawful Roswell alien), and Humble Waiterbot (a waiterbot). (Spirited Characters felt happy about that.) Awesome tumblr users like you!, a helper, enjoyed both the storytelling widget and also the drinks created for the widget's characters.

I might do a review of all the Antholojam games (that aren't tabletop games), but for now, here's the story I created through Canned Rice. (I didn't end up having to pay for my meal, because 4/5 of the others liked my story).

The lovely couple

An orderly and calm story

 This happened a few years ago -

The lawyer Deena, a friendly character, arrived on the scene.

The district attorney, Madame Pompadour, an alien, arrived on the scene.

Deena's client, a robot, arrived on the scene.

By the way, this takes place in A court room, a place on Quaoar.

The district attorney, Madame Pompadour said, "Deena's client is obviously guilty. I have firm evidence of this."" (That was a mean thing for The district attorney, Madame Pompadour to say.)

The lawyer Deena filed a motion to disbar Madame Pompadour for conduct unbecoming of a lawyer.

The lawyer Deena felt like it was the right thing to do, though it grieved her to act in such a way against her ex lover about that.

Judge Hargrove, a robot, arrived at A court room.

Judge Hargrove said, "Madame Pompadour, please act in a way befitting a courtroom of this stature. Deena, your motion is rejected." (It was just a thing Judge Hargrove said.)

The district attorney, Madame Pompadour said, "I will now present firm evidence of Deena's client's guilt. I call Deena's client to the stand." (That was a mean thing for The district attorney, Madame Pompadour to say.)

The lawyer Deena said, "Objection, your honor! This is a violation of my client's right not to self-incriminatie."" (That was a nice thing for The lawyer Deena to say.)

Judge Hargrove said, "Sustained. Madame Pompadour, call a different witness."" (It was just a thing Judge Hargrove said.)

The district attorney, Madame Pompadour said, "Screw this case. Deena, I've loved you for years. I will give up this case now if you will marry me." (It was just a thing The district attorney, Madame Pompadour said.)

The lawyer Deena said, "Judge Hargrove, I must object fervently to this turn of events. Attempting to use personal connections to sway the outcome of a case is blatantly unethical. I call for a mistrial." (That was fine to say.)

Judge Hargrove said, "Agreed. I declare this case to be a mistrial. I will reconvene and choose another prosecutor in two weeks." (It was just a thing Judge Hargrove said.)

Judge Hargrove left A court room. (The scene moved on.)

Elsewhere, at A park outside the court room, a place on Quaoar...

The lawyer Deena, a robot, arrived at A park outside the court room.

The district attorney, Madame Pompadour, just The district attorney, Madame Pompadour, arrived at A park outside the court room.

The lawyer Deena said, "Madame Pompadour, that was quite ridiculous for you to throw the trial like that. Why would you do such a thing?" (That was a nice thing for The lawyer Deena to say.)

The district attorney, Madame Pompadour said, "You must now how dearly I love you, Deena. Come away with me, and we can have all sorts of adventures." (That was a nice thing for The district attorney, Madame Pompadour to say.)

The lawyer Deena said, "I can't just abandon my client, Madame Pompadour. Couldn't we go on adventures after the trial is over? After all, there's so much we can explore in the meantime."

The district attorney, Madame Pompadour said, "This is amenable to me. Let us adjourn to your house."" (That could have offended.)

Elsewhere, at Deena's house...

The lawyer Deena arrived at Deena's house.

The district attorney, Madame Pompadour, just The district attorney, Madame Pompadour, arrived at Deena's house.

The lawyer Deena made love to Madame Pompadour. (That... may have been illegal.)

The district attorney, Madame Pompadour, who helps people sometimes, decided then and there to spend the rest of her life with Deena.

The lawyer Deena went along with Madame Pompadours suggestion and they were married the next day. (The lawyer Deena felt happy about that.)

Elsewhere, at A wedding chapel, a place on an undiscovered planet...

The district attorney, Madame Pompadour arrived at A wedding chapel.

The lawyer Deena, a friendly character, arrived at A wedding chapel.

A septon, an alien, arrived at A wedding chapel.

A septon said, "Do you, Deena, take Madame Pompadour to be your lawfully wedded wife?""

The lawyer Deena said, "I do."" (That was a nice thing for The lawyer Deena to say.)

A septon said, "Do you, Madame Pompadour, take Deena to be your lawfully wedded wife?"" (Conflict is just around the corner!)

The district attorney, Madame Pompadour said, "I do."

Deena's client arrived at A wedding chapel.

Deena's client, who helps people sometimes, barged into the wedding chapel.

Deena's client said, "I fervently object to this union! Deena, you must cease at once! Madame Pompadour is controlling you!" (That was a nice thing for Deena's client to say.)

The lawyer Deena escaped from the mind control virus Madame Pompadour had implanted in her.

The lawyer Deena felt freed and betrayed about that.

The lawyer Deena said, "Madame Pompadour, how could you do such a thing? I will bring you to justice if it's the last thing I do."

THE END

The moral of the story is that justice matters more than fleeting love. It is also that manipulation never ends well for either party.
