god this is so good to hear, thank you for enjoying it so much. I put so much soul into that story, and I was actually re-reading a lot of it last night to remind myself of the finer details of the AU I made and all the details I put into it, and I got literal chills returning to my own fic after, what. two years? I try not to read my fic after it’s posted because I want to curb the urge to keep editing it, or to avoid seeing and hyperfocusing on mistakes I may have made. But I actually really enjoyed rereading everything I returned to last night, to the point of getting chills and also saying ‘Did I actually write this??’ It feels like a fever dream that I wrote this, like I was a reader more than a part of what I made, and that was an emotional feeling. I think creators should, at the end of the day, be able to give themselves a little time to enjoy what they make. As a treat.

I also came to the conclusion that I actually have half a chapter to Blood Wolf written, and when I saw that, I was really compelled to keep writing it and finish it up. Hearing people still love and enjoy and recommend that fic, + the fact that it was recently translated to Russian, that’s all incredible to me, so yeah, I’d love to see if I can’t write more, and actually write the sequel to Wolfbann that I planned on forever ago, Wolfssegner. We’ll see though, because I dont want to make promises I can’t keep, and fic is a very fickle thing. I guess maybe its just enough to know I’m thinking about it, and it’s high on my radar for 2021 as I try to do something creative, every day, not matter what format that creation might be.

I already did a little bit of the fairy tale AU (although I could do more) so here’s the wedding fic, which is just an excuse for me to play around with more FlashKaine and also secretly a post-ASM #800 fic.

Falling in love with a former-assassin clone of his best friend was maybe the weirdest experience of Flash’s life, and that was saying something. Weirder than working for Norman Osborn. Weirder than the time back in college when his other best friend had kidnapped him. Weirder than when that best friend’s therapist had thrown him out a window. Weirder than the time the government had said, hey, congratulations on being a war hero, how’d you like to be bonded to a killer alien symbiote on a top secret super soldier project, champ? And he’d said, yes, sir, thank you, sir.

Almost weirder than feeling like he was the only boy in the tenth grade who hadn’t gotten all worked up the day Sally Avril had come to school without a bra on under her blue sweater.

But there had always been something about Kaine. From the very first time Flash had seen him up close and personal, when Kaine had threatened to kill him, it had felt right.

“I swear to Christ,” Kaine said, “if you don’t stop telling the fucking story that way –”

“I think it’s cute!” Flash said, grinning at the look of disgust on Kaine’s face. “It’s a cute story!”

There was no playbook for falling in love with a clone of your childhood enemy turned best friend, the guy who’d apparently been your hero half your whole life. Something in the Parker genes, Flash thought, maybe. Pretty funny how he’d die all over again for any of them.

“You should have a real wedding!” Johnny declared. Peter groaned and slapped a hand over his face.

“Don’t listen to him,” he said. “It’s the reality television. It’s rotted his brain.”

“I’ll set you on fire,” Johnny said, not even looking at him. He reached out to grab Kaine’s hands and Kaine froze like a deer in the headlights. “Don’t you want a day just for you?”

“No,” Kaine said, looking horrified.

Johnny sighed, looking at him with pity. “Don’t you want your aunt to be able to be there?”

“Shit,” Kaine said, looking torn. Johnny lit up like Christmas.

“That’s the spirit!” he said. Flash didn’t think it was, exactly, but who was he to tell the Human Torch that.

Uhhh I think im gonna go ahead and say Mirran Vedalken? From the mirrodin block. Like most of my faves are gross monster (because of course) and I don’t think that Kraul quite count as humanoid.

This is 100% because I have an in-depth Mirrodin AU with my gf, but i got really attached to these four-armed freaks. My favorite card that I own is definitely my judge foil promo of Emrakul, The Aeons Torn that my roommate got for my 30th birthday!

This one! It’s so fancy and I love it so much.

As for fun stories, I have the first time me and my gf met in person and we took an excursion in Chicago to spend the afternoon at a game store, and opted for a few games of Commander. I’d just gotten Aminatou, the Fateshifter as a deck, and she has a Merieke Ri Berit Commander deck. The thing about these two decks is that they use the same colors and they both use the same tactics of stealing the opponents cards. What followed was around an hour of us desperately stealing her copy of Sen Triplets back and forth. It was hilarious.

The break off at Civil War is a good opportunity because of how Peter was used and strung along by Tony as a pawn and how his life went to total shit after it. The idea that that could have been his breaking point is great, esp after events like Back in Black, where he feels like he’s riding the edge and could slip at any moment. It would be a fun option to explore, but have him choose it, or fall into it, not as a result of mental illness.

Yeah, I feel that as breaking points in Peter’s canon timeline go, Civil War’s aftermath is a really good one. That’s basically where I spun the Two-In-One AU where Johnny gets stuck living in the Spider’s lair that I swear will be done one of these days out of -- the fact that there’s a lot to work with there and you can dig your hands in and get pretty dirty with that point in time. (I preemptively apologize to everyone whose favorites have been killed off in the background of this fic. It was for the story. I killed off my favorites too!!)

Yes— TJ goes to a BDSM club/dungeon semi-regularly, and while he doesn't necessarily hook up every time or even super often, he's definitely willing lol — Honestly, casual sex is a lot easier for him to navigate confidently than asking out someone he actually cares about...

6: do they see themself as experienced?

Yes and no, depending on context. Broadly, yes, TJ's been sexually active since puberty and is fairly confident in his ability to fuck. BUT. He has very limited experience with men (mainly one man for a few months when he was 20, until meeting Kent) so he doesn't see himself as very knowledgeable or experienced when it comes to dudes even though it's not that different. It's the mindset, you know.

15: have they ever had a surprising (sexual or nonsexual) experience that opened their eyes to new desires or kinks, if yes what was it?

See aforementioned few months when he was 20: TJ was a pool boy briefly, just getting out of a mental health spiral and not really qualified for anything other than physical labor, and ended up having his eyes opened to the world of BDSM by his summer employer—a 40-something year old cougar dominatrix and her gay husband. This was TJ's first time for a lot of things (though he already knew he was a masochist) and was specifically the first time he did anal lol so he learned a lot about himself that summer

20: besides sex, what other forms of physical affection or intimacy are meaningful to them?

hugs 💕 TJ loves bear hugs and being squeezed, and he likes to cuddle a lot. He also gets cold easily which I'm sure is unrelated 😂

Oh juicy... So like... TJ is pretty oblivious about his own gender. Like, he is a Man and dresses in Men's Clothes because it's practical, it's comfortable, and so on. Though even while transitioning, she's never particularly feminine either.

But broadly, TJ is just kind of going through the motions of What Dudes Are, which is "masc," and force femme doesn't really do it for him. Pegging, though... Which like, obviously bottom and top aren't genders, blah blah blah, but this is a dorky guy who dropped out of high school [not college] and doesn't have a lot of lgbt education, he just knows that he likes being topped. a lot. it makes him feel good, and that's about all he can articulate about it. Are there some internalized ideas about gender in there? probably.

He's a sub and a switch, and a brat, and he likes being able to give in to someone else. But like, he still likes topping, too, and he likes his body. And he likes BDSM, which lets him be in his body in a state of calmness and serenity, though this is related more to his general neuroticism than gender. But like, the likelihood that it also plays into how he experiences gender is pretty high, of course. He is a fairly large dude, with superpowers, and he's the main source of income in his home, so he feels like his role is generally that of a protector, a breadwinner, A Man. So I'd imagine that in addition to small things (like smoking slim cigarettes), allowing himself to be dominated and submit in a sexual context, aside from relieving stress, also contributes to a relaxation of expected gender roles, where he can do things like get pegged, or whatever else, and he doesn't need to be masc or do masculine things, he can just be.

If there was any one downside he'd pick to having a dick it would be "No DP 🫤" but other than that he isn't bothered by it. It makes him feel good, you know? But he also has dick tattoos and piercings which is definitely a way for him to connect with his body and feel good about himself, imo, so I can see the genital piercings and the pac-man tattoo as being his own form of like, subconscious gender autonomy in a way. Considering JJ ends up with face and ear piercings as well, as she lets go of self-consciousness, I think piercings especially are kind of like TJ's way of expressing some unrealized feelings.
