So, first Sonya Belousova and Giona Ostinelli didn’t come back to score season 2 and take us out on an epic adventure with their music, but now we also need to have the conversation about Henry leaving the Witcher (Netflix) as it’s lead, Geralt of Rivia, giving the torch to Liam Hemsworth.

Heard it’s due to his Superman contract and also “creative freedom” disputes and to be honest, I do believe that to be the reason - meaning Henry knows the cannon and wants to respect it as much as possible while the showrunners want to do something else and explore other options… Which wouldn’t be so bad if they didn’t pull shit that’s out of character 90% of the time.

Sure, S1 and S2 also had its very questionable moments when it came to story continuity (meaning it had nothing to do with the cannon and showrunners basically pulled the twists out of the magician’s hat), on top of not adhering the cannon, the changes made little to no sense and were huge WTF moments (Yen and Ciri, ehm…) - but there was a lot that was following the story and was well executed.

So… if this dispute got so far that Henry is LEAVING the show, prepare for S4 either being batshit insane (not in a good way) or just half as good as it is now. That applies if you’ve read Andrzej’s books and know at least bits and pieces of how the story is supposed to play out.

By saying that, I’m happy that Liam Hemsworth got the role and I’ll try to stick with the show because of ma boi Joey (I was sticking for Henry and Joey anyway) - but since I was going WTF with even Henry as the main lead, I’m so fucking scared for the future of the series.
